Vincent’s Day 2 At The Vet’s

Vincent must be feeling much better after the IV-rehydration. He ate up all the food that the vet gave him – chicken breast meat, wetfood and kibble!
He looks more cheerful as well.
We visited this morning.
He was his usual “super manja” self. Even both the vets said so. He’d rub himself all over anyone (who loves animals).

Vincent’s Updates

At about 5pm today, Vincent’s vet updated me with a video and photograph of Vincent. The vet decided to put Vincent on IV-drips since he was very dehydrated.
We hope Vincent feels better soon, with the help of the drips for rehydration. It would be certainly more effective than drinking water orally or subcut fluids.
Then, at about 8.30pm just now, the vet sent another video which showed Vincent eating on his own.
At least he is eating on his own, which is really good.

This cat was spotted around old town white coffee Pandan Indah feeling lonely and hungry. I, Jeff Ng rescued it near old town white coffee on 6/7/2018 I took it home and fed it. Two days later 8/7/2018 made appointment with Dr took it to nearby to neuter. After neutering the cat slowly recovered and I have since released it to the neighbouring Pandan Indah area on 15/7/2018. The Mails Aren’t Coming In

We have 28 pending applications, but we haven’t received the applications by post. We don’t know what has happened to the mails as many of the applications are more than 1 week old.
We urge all applicants to please track your Pos Ekspres mails. I will write to all of you as well.
I just tracked one of the mails for an applicant who isn’t literate. She posted the Pos Ekspres mail on 13th July, but according to the tracking, it was only despatched out on 17th July!

Vincent Is Warded (stomatitis Again)

After a relatively uneventful two years, Vincent’s stomatitis has flared up again.
Sigh…we know that there is no cure for stomatitis. We can only manage it. Throughout the two years after his two tooth extractions, Vincent’s condition has been stable. He was on Plague Off for maintenance and that did its job well. Indy’s Follow-Up At The Vet’s (Day 5)

Today, Indy finished the fifth (and last) dose of his antibiotics (Stomorgyl).
We took him back to the vet for a follow-up (Vincent went as well – next story).
The vet checked Indy’s lymph nodes and they have gone smaller, which is good. As for his mouth ulcers, there is only a very slight improvement. The ulcers at the gums have no healed yet.

Indy’s Mouth Ulcers (Day 3)

Today is Day 3 of Indy’s antibiotic treatment for his mouth ulcers.
He is smarter today – he spat out the half tablet so we had to re-do with the pill popper again. The second time worked.
He still doesn’t want to eat his cooked and canned food. As the vet said, maybe the smell of the food reminds him of the initial pain in the mouth.
For breakfast, he was willing to lick up some blended raw food and after that, he only wanted kibble.
Bah! Mouth ulcers suck!
