Vincent’s Morning And The Food Issue 10th Dec 2018, by AnimalCare
Last night, Vincent ate at about 10pm. This would be after many rounds of vomiting in the day, which could mean that most of the food eaten for the day had been vomited out.
I still don’t know what caused the vomiting. Was it (1) the Semintra, (2) the Azodyl, (3) the aversion to being given any medicine, (4) eating too much or too fast, (5) eating raw liver, (6) eating any raw food (because he did eat a bit of Cubgrub and Coco&Joe’s too).
Six possible reasons (or more that I have...

Vincent’s Blood Test Results 9th Dec 2018, by AnimalCare
Our day started at 5.20am with breakfast. Vincent ate his usual amount.
I managed to put the Semintra into the food. Vincent was VERY hungry so it all got eaten along with the food. Yay!
Since Vincent’s steamed fish and chicken isn’t exactly balanced, I mixed taurine powder, Vitamin E powder and bone meal into his tub for the purpose of adding it into his food. I did this today and he walked away from it. Tsk…a failure.
Vincent was really hungry and even add a bit of Cubgr...

The Heroes, The Gatekeepers And The Brave Ones 8th Dec 2018, by AnimalCare
About half an hour ago, I suddenly heard a very extraordinarily loud thud on the roof, over at Bunny’s Place, and this was followed by very loud footsteps walking on the roof to the patio.
First on the scene was none other than…
…the queen herself.
Yes, Queen Cleo Patra herself. She rushed out to Bunny’s Pantry and was on guard.
Who goes there? I shall not be triumphed over…
And outside, guess who went to investigate?
Vincent!!
Yes, our loyal soldier, despite i...

Today marks the 7th day since Vincent came back from the hospitalisation.
Breakfast at 5.30am.
Heidi still refuses to at raw food. She only wants cooked food and she seems to like Vincent’s food. Tabs still eats Cubgrub.
Eating again, at 9.40am. Freshly steamed.
Heidi patiently waits for leftovers.
Subcut at 2.15pm.
Eating at 2.40pm, and drinking water. All to be celebrated because it’s a great blessing that Vincent is able to eat and drink.
Dinner at 6.30pm. Now, it’s c...

Dishonest And Rude Applicants Will Not Be Tolerated 7th Dec 2018, by AnimalCare
I had LONG wanted to include this….long ago. I remember the time when one lady was SO incredibly and unbelievably rude, I really wanted to include the criteria of “politeness” as a basis for approving applications.
Time and again, I’ve had to deal with rude, demanding and ungrateful applicants. Thank goodness it is not often and most of the time, the applicants are very courteous and a pleasure to communicate with.
But lately, because we had to “graduate” som...

Yummy Fishy Meals For Vincent All Day 7th Dec 2018, by AnimalCare
So, Vincent ate twice this morning – that was before dawn. And he ate some more after that.
9.20am – freshly steamed fish again.
Look at Tabs!
That’s Vincent eating his fish and Heidi eating her half-boiled egg yolks. Too bad Vincent doesn’t like eggs. But his freshly steamed sardines isn’t hard to make too. I can do it all in about 10 minutes. He would just have to wait a bit, which he does….patiently.
A portrait.
Asking for food again, at 2pm.
Mashing...

Vincent’s “fishy” Morning 7th Dec 2018, by AnimalCare
We started the day at 3.45am this morning.
I wanted to get up earlier to steam the sardines for Vincent so that it has time to cool before he eats it.
But Vincent had already come into the kitchen to wait.
Tabs, Ginger and Heidi got a can of Monge first but Vincent didn’t want any of it.
He waited patiently until the sardines plus chicken had cooled. Luckily it didn’t take so long as I only steamed one fish and a small piece of chicken, just enough for him alone. After al...

Vincent’s Meals For Today And A Photo Shoot! 6th Dec 2018, by AnimalCare
After the sumptuous breakfast this morning, Vincent had several other meals today. And some photo shoots too!
The shaven arm is because of the IV-drip.
A good lunch at 1.45pm – steamed sardines and some chicken.
Heidi loves cooked food too. For some reason, she stopped eating Cubgrub and all raw food. Maybe she knows her system best, so we have to respect that.
Vincent slept during subcut.
Time for today’s photo shoot!
Dinner was a real surprise for Vincent – roast...

Vincent’s Sumptuous Breakfast (side Story: Spider-Cat Gets Stuck) 6th Dec 2018, by AnimalCare
It looks like freshly steamed sardines with chicken essence is still in fashion.
Vincent knew the food had cooled, so he came into the kitchen at 4.30am.
YES!
I mashed it up as quickly I could.
https://myanimalcare.org/wp-content/uploads /2018/12/4-video.mp4
This time, I didn’t dare lace the food with any medicines at all. I think priority should be given to (1) eating before (2) medicines.
Meanwhile, I had locked Ginger into Bunny’s Room so that Vincent can eat in peace.
Indy sm...

What Don’t You Write About Me? (The Crown Princess Complains) 6th Dec 2018, by AnimalCare
Cleo: It’s not fair, you only write about Vincent all the time. What about me? I’m somebody, you know. I’m fourth in line to the throne…that’s after Cow, Bunny and Pole.
Cleo: Wait, am I fourth in line? Bunny cannot rule, he’s all into food. And Pole (yes, I know she’s my mum, but facts are facts, right?), she’s a bit of a dodo, you know. She cannot even remember I’m her daughter and I’ve been trying to tell her that for&h...

The Cow Clan Food Guzzlers 6th Dec 2018, by AnimalCare
My day started at 3am today. I thought an early start would be good – there’s just so much to do!
So I came downstairs with Tabs and Vincent was already awake. He came into the kitchen to wait for food.
At 3am?
Well, anytime is a good time for Vincent to eat, isn’t it?
I had thawed a batch of sardines and chicken, if that’s still “trendy” for him, that is. So I quickly started steaming it, but at the same time, offered last night’s (steamed at night) sar...

A Sumptuous Sardine-Chicken Dinner For Vincent! 5th Dec 2018, by AnimalCare
Okay, so I got it all wrong for the earlier dinner.
I think what Vincent wants is freshly steamed sardines and chicken essence (also freshly steamed), so I did a batch.
The keyword here is “freshly steamed”.
As though Vincent knew that the steamed food had cooled, he came into the kitchen and started mewing.
Yes, mewing and rubbing at my leg!
So I quickly took the bowl out of the wok and proceeded to mash up the fish and chicken for him. This batch has some Morton’s Lite Salt a...

Vincent’s Day 5th Dec 2018, by AnimalCare
Breakfast at 5.30am today – a mixture of canned, homecooked (steamed fish and chicken) and even raw food.
I managed to lace the food with Clindamycin so that I don’t have to use the syringe. I must say…I was so, so lucky that he continued eating and did not walk away.
Ate again at 9.30am. I laced this with Semintra and I cannot believe that I was lucky again! Vincent seems to love the steamed sardines.
4.30pm – ate again. I laced it with Clindamycin again, but my luck...
