Good Morning, Vincent (and Buddy!)

Breakfast was at about 6am this morning. We started with Cubgrub’s Duck, but Vincent wanted a mixture of foods today.
So, he ended up having a bit of Cubgrub Duck, Cubgrub Rabbit and Cindy’s Tender Chicken. I wasn’t sure if having three types of food was a good idea, especially for his sensitive stomach, but that was what Vincent wanted.

Vincent’s Day

Continuing from breakfast…
12.40pm – lunch time! He didn’t want any of the food so I had to quickly think of something different. What worked was Cindy’s Tender Chicken with wheatgrass powder, something he hadn’t eaten for a long time too.
This was followed by some Cubgrub Duck.
Ming-Yi dropped in at 2pm and we were able to give Vincent 2ml of Kaminox with just a wee bit of resistance. It helps a lot to have someone hold Vincent while I administer the syringe. I u...

Neutering Aid For 1 Cat In Shah Alam (Goh Kok Ho’s)

We have provided an aid of RM60 for the neutering of this cat.
Hi Dr. Chan,
Greetings again and how are you?
I humbly request aid for spaying for a stray mommy cat.
She was spayed on 10 December 2018 and was boarded with the vet for 1 day. At this moment I am still keeping her in my cage for recovery and monitoring purposes. I plan to release her back to her colony on Friday.
I will drop the form and receipt to Subang as soon as possible.

Vincent, Zurik, Buddy, Ginger, Heidi And Tabs’ Morning

Our morning started at 4.30am. Vincent was sleeping on my pillow all night. Tabs was on the sofa in the bedroom.
Vincent came downstairs and stayed in the kitchen as I prepared breakfast. Ginger, Tabs and Heidi had homecooked plus Primal (surprisingly, Heidi wanted Primal today).
I offered Vincent his Cubgrub Duck – No.
Monge Tuna Salmon – No.
Coco&Joe’s – No.
Primal – No.
Oh dear….
How about raw liver (taking a chance here)? Also no.

Never Mind The Numbers (Vincent’s Story)

Well, the numbers didn’t look good today.
But never mind the numbers. Vincent is still able to eat.
For lunch, Vincent ate Cubgrub Duck. It was certainly worth every effort picking up the supply after we finished at the clinic this morning.
At about 4.30pm, he ate some Cubgrub followed by Monge. I wasn’t too keen in mixing different types of food, but he finished his Cubgrub and kept looking at me. He wanted Monge as well.

Vincent’s 4th PCV Test (with The Darbepoetin)

Today is Vincent’s 4th Darbepoetin injection (the last from the series of four injections) plus the B12 injection.
As per the protocol, a blood test was done before that to check his PCV. Sadly, his PCV has dropped today, to 18%.
Before we started the series of Darbepoetin injections, it had dropped to 16% and Vincent no longer had any appetite. After we started the injections, it went up to 20% and then to 23% last week.

Vincent’s Morning

Vincent’s came up to our bed this morning and slept on my pillow!
Of course, Ginger came up too, and because of that, Tabs exiled herself to outside the room and Heidi did not even come up.
Such is cat politics.

Vincent On The Comfy Sofa

We took some photos today!
But before that, Vincent ate at 6pm.
Monge’s Tuna Salmon is still in season.
Tabs: I’m guarding Vincent’s food.
Vincent wanted Cubgrub’s Duck, so I gave him teaspoon by teaspoon. I don’t want him vomiting again just in case he has problems digesting raw food. He loves it so much, though. Two teaspoons (so far, no vomiting).
Vincent came to sit with me on the sofa all evening.

A Minor Setback – Vincent Vomited

Vincent vomited at about 12.50pm. I heard the sound, rushed out and saw a pile of vomit in Vincent’s hide-away.
It’s okay, Vincent. I quickly cleaned it up.
Sigh, from what I think, it could be due to the following reasons:
(1) Vincent ate too much or too fast this morning.
(2) The Semintra I sneaked into this food this morning. It’s been more than a mere coincidence now – it has happened too many times. But I gave Semintra yesterday, and there was no vomiting.

Vincent’s Morning – A Treat Of Cubgrub’s Duck

Yesterday, dear Lin Li (of Cubgrub) brought over a bottle of Duck for Vincent. It is her Christmas present for Vincent. Thank you so, so much, Lin Li.
This is the 200g bottle.
I had to wait until this morning for it to be properly thawed before offering it to Vincent.
Wow!! Bingo!! He loved, loved, loved it!
Cubgrub’s Duck used to be Vincent’s favourite before he grew out of it and he didnt want to eat raw food for quite a long time.

We have said this many times over the years, but had not made it compulsory.
Now, we have to.
In the past, there had been cases where female dogs/cats were caught and taken to the vet by well-intentioned rescuers to be spayed only to be opened up and discovered that the female dog/cat had already been previously spayed.
