Neutering Aid For 1 Cat In Johor Bahru (Maya Saphira Bt Amir Hamzah’s) 29th Jan 2019, by AnimalCare
We have provided an aid of RM60 for the neutering of this cat.
Selamat petang Dr Chan,

“Go Home, Buddy!” 29th Jan 2019, by AnimalCare
Buddy understands English.
He really does.
Two evenings ago, he came to eat but husband was there and he said to Buddy, “Go home, Buddy, go back to your own house” without any gesture, whatsoever. It was just words. Buddy turned around and walked out of the gate, back towards the direction of his own house.
No kidding. Really.
And this morning, I said to him, “Go home, Buddy.”
Buddy turned around and went home.
I’m 99% sure Buddy is just here for snacks. He sure loo...

Laboratories To Replace Slaughterhouses? 29th Jan 2019, by AnimalCare
If slaughterhouses had glass walls, any human with compassion would be vegetarian. Or, at the very least, practise eating less meat. But slaughterhouses do not have glass walls, they are often tucked away in some remote area so that what goes on there remains “unknown” to humans who would rather not know or think about it. They are always located “far away” so that we cannot hear the screams of terror and the cries for help. Every single day. All over the world.
Just eat,...

Vincent’s Meals 27th Jan 2019, by AnimalCare
I met two vets a few days ago and both were interested in nutrition, so I sought their opinion on what Vincent should or should not eat. One of them said to go for chicken, fish and pork and to avoid red meats like beef and lamb because the latter meats give rise to more “residue” and causes the rise in the creatinine and urea levels.
So, yes, Vincent mostly eats chicken and fish. But there is a Monge flavour that he also likes, which is the Tuna, Chicken and Beef (but I think it&rs...

Ginger Attacks Buddy 27th Jan 2019, by AnimalCare
Ginger has been VERY jealous of Buddy for quite some time now. It could be because Buddy is Zurik’s new buddy? Or maybe Ginger just doesn’t like someone in the porch.
Ginger loves sitting under one of our cars in the porch, but we don’t allow him out anymore because he goes out of the gate into a neighbour’s compound. He also likes sitting under the cars parked outside and we have noticed that the drivers have a tendency to just get it and speed away without looking under...

Ginger Joins Vincent For A Subcut Session (only As A Spectator) 27th Jan 2019, by AnimalCare
Ginger has been VERY jealous of Vincent for many months now. He acts it up by spraying which is rather disturbing, but male cats will be male cats, right? There are some things that are beyond our control.
Ginger wants everything that Vincent gets and the only thing that he hasn’t been able to get is the subcut, so whenever the room door is open, Ginger would jump up and examine the fluids, the tube, etc.
Normally, I would take Ginger out of the room before doing Vincent’s subcut as...

Vincent’s Updates 25th Jan 2019, by AnimalCare
I’ll continue from where we left off – We thought Vincent was vomiting water. Finally, I found out that all those pools of water was not vomit, but urine. Vincent’s urine is all clear because of the kidney failure, so it’s hard to tell whether it’s water vomit or urine. There is also absolutely no smell.
We saw him urinating on that very spot, so that’s how we knew.
I’d like to believe that Vincent is urinating there to show me how much urine he can stil...

Stop Your “basmi Tikus” Operations, Please 23rd Jan 2019, by AnimalCare
This is something very close to my heart because I stay in Subang Jaya.
Please stop your “basmi tikus” operations and start cleaning up your drains! The rats are only there because humans throw food wastes indiscriminately. Educate your humans, please. It’s not the rats’ fault.
And you are also poisoning innocent cats and dogs….and eventually….yourselves. If you don’t care about the animals, well, eventually it comes back to you too. Think about that, ...

Is Cow Making A Comeback? 23rd Jan 2019, by AnimalCare
You might know that Cow, Bunny and Indy were “exiled” from Bunny’s Room shortly just before Chinese New Year last year due to the incessant spraying of urine in the room.
At that time, my backache was “excruciatingly painful” (I hope that’s not a redundant use of words, but it really was SO bad), due to years of bending over and wiping urine sprays from the floor, so husband said, “That’s it….these sprayers got to go out to the pantry.&rdquo...

Vincent’s Kitchen Portraits 22nd Jan 2019, by AnimalCare
It’s not so easy to take Vincent’s portraits as he is always on the move, but I managed to take these yesterday!
Me too! Me, me, me!! Don’t forget me!!
Eating is back to normal now. Strangely, Vincent is not vomiting food, but water. So I’ve consulted the vet and we are reducing the subcut to 220ml now. Maybe there is an excess of fluids.
Indy!
Indy has this “new” way of getting attention – he lies next to my mouse so that I cannot move it, and thus,...

Thank you so much, Puie Ee, for your kind donation of RM300 to our Fund!!
This is the completed blanket, sewn to a special size for the doggie bed!
I sewed the pinwheel design and backing.
But I did not embroider these, for sure! Got them professionally done (sponsored by Vincent) at the shop. These are the names of all the 5 lucky doggies, in the respectiv...
