Dogs/Cats Up For Adoption

Our puppies enjoying their lunch.
Regardless of their different backgrounds and upbringings (e.g. dumped outside the shelter, rescued by kind people, caught by local councils, or roaming the streets as strays), they are taught to eat from separate bowls and to never fight with each other for food.
Some may have their reservations about dogs but from our experience, they are a beautiful, loyal and gentle species.

We are currently in need of these items for use at our shelter:
1) Soap powder for laundry
2) Liquid hand wash
3) Large black garbage bags
4) Dog & puppy can food
5) Rice
If you wish to donate any of these, please drop them off at our shelter during our opening hours (9 a.m. - 4 p.m. every day except Wednesdays and Public Holidays). For further details, please call our office at 03-7846 1087.

Resident Dogs Of PAWS

Visitors at PAWS would have noticed our resident dogs roaming around in the dog area of our shelter. These are dogs that were either dumped outside our shelter or caught by the local councils, which were then 'adopted' by our kennel boys.
These dogs are a constant reminder to us that our shelter workers are also animal lovers who are truly passionate about their jobs.

This is Tiger, the male counterpart of Guinness (we're referring to these dogs, and not anything else ;) ). They have a similar temperament and will pounce on you the moment they get a chance. Do not squat/sit down near them unless you want to be playfully jumped/nibbled on!

Guinness enjoying a lazy afternoon cuddle. It's impossible to get a good photo of her when she's not lying down because if you go anywhere close, she'll jump on you playfully and paw at you until you give her attention. She's delightfully clingy :)

Christmas was transferred out of the council area and adopted on (you guessed it!) Christmas day. He is extremely shy and will generally avoid people, unless he recognises you, in which case he will walk to you slowly with his tail wagging and press his head against you softly :)
