Dear all,
It is with deep regret we announce that we will have to increase the fees for all animals surrendered to / adopted from PAWS starting 1 January 2016. This is the first time the surrender/adoption fees have been adjusted in the last 13 years, and we are forced to do so due to the rising costs of maintaining the shelter. The updated surrender/adoption fees will be as follows:-
Surrender fees:
Adult Dog (above 1 year old): RM80
Puppy (below 1 year old): RM110

From Now Until The 30th Of December 2015, Smarthea..

From now until the 30th of December 2015, SmartHeart will be having a promotion for dog food donations to PAWS.
Simply visit any of the participating stores (Petswonderland Mid Valley, Petswonderland Great Eastern Mall or Petswonderland Dpulze Cyberjaya), purchase a bag of SmartHeart Dog Food 500gm at a discounted price and place it in the donation box. The food will be sent to PAWS for our doggies' consumption at the end of the event.

On the 1st of October 2015, students of HELP College (PAWSxHELP) held a fundraiser in their college campus which helped us raise more than RM2,200 which was donated in full to our shelter.

Let's Face Facts. It's Nearing The End Of The Year..

Let's face facts. It's nearing the end of the year now, and a lot of people are making plans for long holidays. This very unfortunately means that many people are also making plans to abandon their pets. In the past month or so, we have received surrenders of over 100 animals. Some of them are rescued strays, but a substantial portion of them are abandoned pets too. Pedigree German Shepherds, Terriers, Shih Tzus and even a Golden Retriever were all surrendered to us in the past week alone.

URGENT UPDATE ON RABIES ISSUE
Dear all,
First of all, thank you to everyone who has played their part in helping to tackle the rabies issue. According to the Department of Veterinary Services ("DVS"), the rabies cases are all under control with the last known case of rabies in Malaysia on the 21st of September 2015.
