http://thestar.com.my/metro/story.asp?file=/2011/4 /14/central/8475437&sec=centralThe Subang Jaya Municipal Council does not cease to amaze us. Apart from being one of the biggest abusers of canines in Selangor, the council has also proven over and over again that it is a dog-hating imbecile. The latest crap that has come from this troubled local council is its witch hunt plan of dogs belonging to the eight breeds mentioned in the article. Surely, the council isn't actually thinking that pe...

PETA ADD
23rd Mar 2011, by Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better

The message is very clear - the more puppies and dogs are bought from pet shops and breeders - the less the chance for mixed breed puppies and dogs to survive. The breeding will only stop when the buying does. In the Malaysian context, buying puppies and dogs will also keep the illegal breeders in business and a large number of the puppies sold by them do not even m...

UPDATE - PUSPAKOM ACCIDENT VICTIM
23rd Mar 2011, by Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better

This puppy was hit by a van near Puspakom. It just lay there because no one bothered nor had pity or compassion in their hearts to help the poor thing. Luckily, three days later it was spotted by someone who immediately rescued it and gave the puppy to us. It was admitted in one of our panel clinics about a week ago and had been unconscious until today - when it regained consciousness and started eating. But the puppy is still lying down and we hope that it is not paralysed. We are hoping for th...

We are happy to update our readers about Lester who is now happily living with Datin Jeniffer Khoo and her family. Lester became a stray after his adopters abandoned him near the Petaling Jaya Old Town market. Luckily, he had Ah Moi, who manned a stall there, feeding him. He had been on the streets several years when some jerk poured hot oil all over him. Lester was missing for about two days but went in search of Ah Moi after that. We heard about him and took Lester under our care and did t...
