Need Help With Escalating Veterinary Bills
11th Oct 2011, by Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better

Dear people,we are in the red again due to the escalating veterinary bills. We owe all the five clinics we go to an estimated total amount of about RM67, 000. In addition to this we are also saddled with operational costs of RM3,000 every month to run our half-way-home. Generally, most of the people who 'rescue' dogs and 'hand' them to us by admitting them to these clinics do not do anything after that. We do not see nor hear from them as well. If you need a receipt - please mail to malay...

Yet Another Extreme Cruelty Case
5th Oct 2011, by Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better

Just about midnight last night, we received a frantic call saying that a dog had been bundled-up in a sack and left by the road side to die. We told them to rush the dog to a veterinary clinic and that we would take over from there. However, the dog did not make it through the night. Who are these people and how can they resort to such cruelty? We asked the Good Samaritans to send us pics and write to us what had happened, herewith their narration:"Last night, a medium sized female dog was...

CRUELTY AGAINST DOGS AT ITS WORST
4th Oct 2011, by Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better

The biggest animal abusers in the country are without doubt the local councils. MDDB had been involved in several local council pound exposes and had organised our first demonstration at the DBKL pound in Setapak. In some of the other pound pictures, the water and food containers and the kibbles were also supplied by us to the pounds after we found out that the dogs were not fed anything or given water to drink for days. Let us remember these sad animals who probably all perished in these ...

Kota Kinabalu
1st Oct 2011, by Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better

When we received several emails about the the recent incident in Kota Kinabalu attached with pictures, we were the least shocked. Having seen the extent of cruelty that Malaysians were capable of exerting on poor defenseless dogs, the manner in which the dogs were brutalised was not surprising at all. We may not have been shocked but we were certainly angry.......matter of fact we were very very angry. First and foremost this should not be happening when there are so many animal welfare a...

Thank You Anthony Thanasayan
14th Sep 2011, by Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better

THANK YOU I have been hiding for more than two and a half years trying not to reveal my real identity, shying away from the media as well as getting others to speak on my behalf on matters regarding animal cruelty and welfare. Everything was so closely guarded and under wraps that not many knew it was I who founded Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better. The reason was simple; I didn’t want to have that added advantage I may have if my contacts knew I was involved in MDDB. So it was always one of m...
