Chip ‘N Dale Fundraiser 5th Jan 2012, by Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better
Our fund raising in Chip ‘N Dale pub in Taman Tun on 30th was a blast. Thanks to premise owner Janice Shun for conceptualizing the event to help us out. Chip ‘N Dale is dog friendly and all those who want to spend an evening out with your pets - this is the right place to go. Their food menu is also excellent.http://www.facebook.com/groups/169480346 446878/?ref=ts#!/chipndalebar

Evil People 5th Jan 2012, by Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better
Monday, December 5, 2011This happened at about 10 pm on the date mentioned above. We found a dying dog outside a house in Taman Gembira, Klang. The owners could not wait for the dog to die and they put it in a garbage bag and placed it on the road outside their gate. The dog's cage which was outside the house was also washed clean and both the water and food bowl were turned downwards. It was pitiful to see the dog groan and writhe before it died. We do not know how long it was ther...

Urgent Fosterer Still Needed 5th Jan 2012, by Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better
Fosterer needed for this cute cute little girl called ICE CREAM STICK We are urgently seeking a fosterer for this little puppy who now lives in the same place as Justice. She's a real busybody - very cute busybody - and is very curious about Justice (probably why he can't walk). She 'disturbs' him all the time and Justice is getting annoyed with her. We do not want any untoward incident to happen and therefore looking for a good foster home for the pup pending our next adoption driv...

HERE WE GO AGAIN. 5th Jan 2012, by Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better
Sunday, November 27, 2011Apparently the evil folks of Pulau Ketam are at it again and this time around the tale told to us is far more sordid than the one where they dumped dogs on an island some years ago.Apparently, the guy who built the dog traps and helped catch the dogs to be transported to the island is still making use of the traps - but this time around it is to catch dogs and keep them in an enclosure for some months pending euthanasia. (He told us this himself.)The d...

A Twisted And Constipated Sense Of Logic 27th Nov 2011, by Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better
Anthony Thanasayan amazes us with the level of his stupidity. Here he pretends to be someone else and writes this to himself. Anyway, we think we should reply to this letter craftily written by this fellow whose tenure as local councilor is numbered. http://petpositive.blogspot.com/2011/11/hypocricy- from-one-animal-ngo.htmlHypocrisy From One Animal NGO A dog-catching training joint exercise by MBPJ and MPK LETTER OF THE DAY:Hypocritical Animal Activists"Dear PET+BLOGSPOT,I am a dog lover...

LITTLE Pyro a.k.a Napoleon was splashed with hot liquid, believed to be oil, when he was barely two months old. The stray puppy had been wandering along with a big wound that almost covered his entire back when he was spotted by a Good Samaritan. The man took the puppy home and placed it under the care of canine welfare project Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better (MDDB). Why Haven't The Local Councils Changed Their Ways? 18th Nov 2011, by Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better
LOCAL councils are the biggest dog abusers in the country. We have said this over and over and over again. We have conceptualized and executed exposes, jumped over fencing and taken photographs, confronted the Selangor state government as well as written to the Federal Government to put an end to abuse of dogs by local councils in Selangor.Yet, nothing much has happened since and this is because of the interference of Anthony Sivabalan Thanasayan with the help of Selangor executive counci...

TWO NEW CASES 18th Nov 2011, by Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better
1) Independent Pet Rescuers' Sherrina Krishnan called today asking if we could help a mother and five puppies that were rescued by Roselin last Sunday. Apparently the family had tested positive for Parvovirus and the clinic they were in could not keep them much longer. We do have a quarantine room for parvo patients but given that our HWH is bursting at its seams, we did not risk placing the puppies there. So we asked for the family to be brought to our panel vet in Klang where they were ...

Saturday Morning Tragedy 18th Nov 2011, by Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better
As we were rushing to complete our daily chores at the HWH before going to Gasing for Justice's surgery on Sat, we stumbled upon a very sad sight on the way to the market to purchase our daily ration of meat and liver. We saw two puppies with maggot wounds in a small padang on the way to the market. We aborted our plan and rushed the puppies to our Klang panel clinic. Our vet told us that the wounds looked about a week old and the maggots had eaten their way really deep inside the puppy with t...

OLD LABRADOR IN NEED OF HELP. 18th Nov 2011, by Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better
Someone posted here about a dog residing in Wat Chetawan in Jalan Gasing needing help. MDDB members responded and the dog and old Labrador was brought to Gasing this Saturday. She had TVT and a bad case of fungal infection. She has been given the first jab for TVT and also given meds. We need someone to help coordinate to ensure that she is being given the meds because we feel the monks may not have the time to do so. Apparently one of them bought this old lady and another Labrador ...

JUSTICE'S SURGERY 11th Nov 2011, by Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better
Dear all,Justice is going in for his surgery tomorrow (SAT, NOV 12) and we ask of you to channel healing thoughts his way. What has happened to Justice is a very sad reflection of the blatant disregard people have for dogs here.We are still not able to fathom the reasoning, if any can be given at all, behind why so much anger was directed towards a puppy. How could anyone inflict such an injury which has severed his spinal column and chord into two?The force that had been exerted t...
