INJURED CAT

When Leslie when to Sungai Buloh to pick up some puppies, he spotted this cat which had a deep injury to its front paw. The wound had eaten up a big patch of skin and it was obvious that the cat was in terrible pain. So to cut a long story short - the cat is with us and is admitted at our panel clinic in Klang where the wound is being treated. Again, we would be grateful for help to see this poor fellow through his treatment.

Pregnant And Injured

Employees of the animal quarantine center in Port Klang regularly call us when there are strays in need of help. The latest rescue was this pregnant dog that they have been feeding for a while. According to one of them, they found the dog injured and unable to move when they had come to work on Monday last week. A young lady called us more than a week ago saying that there were three puppies and their mother at the car park of her condo. One of the three puppies was unable to move as it appeared to have suffered a back injury and bruises to its back legs. We are currently in the process of expanding our TNRM programme and this time around we are neutering dogs that are fed by Rawang residents Umairah and her husband Kapt Anuar Musa. Both of them and another friend brought two females to one of our panel clinics for neutering today. We have told them to start off with the females and hope to complete the batch of 40 within the next five to six months. Justice's rescuer can only take him back in June and given this he has to be here till then. Jeniffer Leong just finished her round of fostering and he is now with another fosterer in Setia Alam. We are in need of help for justice as we need to buy him diapers as he has no bowel control due to his paralysis. Remember these three puppies that walked into Miki's house last week? Well Miki called us frantically saying that her mother wanted to turn them out and that she need to travel to Singapore. NOWThis accident victim was found along the Puchong Highway and was rescued by former beauty queen Thanuja after she had come across our S.O.S. The doggie had hurt her legs and was unable to walk or stand. This was because of injury to the nerves. She is still being treated at the clinic and can stand a walk a little. He had had severe skin problems but is now completely cured and ready for adoption. Puggy will be put up for adoption at our Summit Subang Jaya adoption drive on Sunday March 11. R.I.P Kitten

Last month MDDB member Christine Lai had the shock of her life when she spotted a kitten with its rectum hyanging out. The kitten was rushed to our panel clinic and a surgery carried out to reinsert the prolapssed rectum. The plucky cat survived the surgery and was doing very well but died a few days ago. We are saddened with what had transpired.
