Faced dog, now named Yoko, had a very nasty wound on the face that was filled with maggots. According to the vet, the wound must becat least two to three weeks old for it to get to that extent. They cleaned the wound and flushed out as much maggots as possible. The next few days will revolve in getting all maggots out. Yoko is admitted at St Angels Veterinary Clinic. For a couple of days now we have been receiving PM's and WhatsApp messages asking us to rescue a dog with a serious facial injury. Shah Rukh found a home and we had scheduled to send him over today. Shah Rukh, believed to have been dumped, was rescued last month. However, he attacked our person in her stomach and we have cancelled the adoption lest he attacks them there. We are having an overdose of tragic cases these past few days. We received a postcabout a paralysed dog Nelly that was scheduled to be surendered to MPKj Someone we know asked us if we could take paralysed Nelly in and we said yes and picked her up. After coming back we discovered the Nelly's lower abdomen including her vagina and anus was scrapped badly because of the way she moved. There was also blood in her pee. Please help us help Nelly. She is admitted at St Angel.

My name is Shamini Popiko Sasha and I am MDDB's principal pooch. Matter of fact, it was I who wrote the first post when MDDB came into existence on Nov 4, 2008. Today, they say I am the grand old lady of MDDB. I am 14 years and feel fine in spite of having had a stroke a few months ago.
