We will be closing the fundraising for Muthu at midnight today. According to the vet, one ear is rotten an gone. The person who alerted us said he saw Muthu fighting with another dog not long ago. Even the smallest wound, if at a location where doggo cannot lick and keep clean, can fester and become terribly infected. FUNDRAISING FOR MUTHU ENDS AT MIDNIGHT TOMORROW - THURS, JUNE 24, 2021
One more dog has been rescued from Klang with nasty injuries. We have named him Muthu and he is admitted at Gasing Veterinary Hospital. This is what the vet there said:
"Muthu's maggot wound is very big and one of his ear is rotten. A full blood test was done and thorough wound cleaning was done under sedation."

Update on Boomer (blind & 3 legged):
1. Boomer has been diagnosed with skin cancer and the vet has put him on prednisolone.
2. According to the vet, there is nothing much they can do for Boomer as the Chemo drugs that can treat his cancer not available at veterinary clinics.
3. They advise us to bring Boomer back home and keep him comfortable while giving tender, loving care

4. Boomer is not eating the clinic food but is eating the home cooked food that we are bringing him daily.

This is so sad. We received on dumped doggo Valerie who is with us now.
Update on Valerie:
1. CT scan and biopsy was done for Valerie yesterday. The prognosis is not good.
2. The mass in her nose if spreading from her left nasal cavity to right nasal cavity. The mass in her nose is blocking the airway and she is just using 10% of her nose to breathe and she is breathing through her mouth mostly.

Funds for Meru's treatment is solely collected by MDDB through direct transfers and payments to Gasing Veterinary Hospital. We currently have several doggos admitted at Gasing Veterinary Hospital as well as those that have been going in regularly for check-ups. The bill hence is starting to hit danger zone again. We now have dumped nose-cancer girl Valerie, who is going in and out for diagnostic tests now, before proceeding for treatment at Gasing Vet as well. Boomer is also there for cancer treatment. Sad news related to our three-legged blind old man Boomer.
1. Boomer has been admitted at Gasing Vet about 2 weeks ago because of persisting wounds on his chin and under the abdomen.
2. The vet did a biopsy of the wounds and Boomer has been diagnosed with cutaneous lymphoma, which, unfortunately, is one of the hardest lymphomas to treat. The cancer is all over Boomer's skin. It appears as red spots on the neck, chin and near the penis. He is now in clinical stage 2 out of 3.

As stated earlier, this is a lousy month for us. One of our adopters alerted us to this dumped dog which we have since named Valerie. We took her to Gasing and she has been diagnosed with nose cancer. She is currently at our HWH and will go back to Gasing tomorrow.
