Cruelty should not be condoned or justified for...but still, my understanding heart would like to give some benefit of the doubt that perhaps these heartless bunch may be afraid or clueless on how to deal with dogs (I can totally respect that). Our distemper patients Jame and Biscoff doing well in isolation. Hope they'll be negative soon. Two more doggos tested positive. Almost all the dogs tested positive seem to have a common denominator - they were all vaccinated at the same clinic.

Our battle with distemper is ongoing. We have taken three dogs that were close contacts with those tested positive for distemper injections at Wawasan Veterinary Clinic. After that we admitted them a a vet which has isolation wards. Bills are skyrocketing and we need to have the amount ready so that we will not be caught off guard when required to settle. We currently have four distemper positive doggos admitted at various clinics that have isolation facilities. The admitted doggos includes the fellow who brought back the virus from one of our regular clinics where he had gone for a minor ailment. These are not our regular clinics. Two dogs, that are negative bur showing clinical signs, are also boarded at a paying fosterer's place for quarantine. We need urgent help to pay the deposits as well as veterinary and boarding costs. Our retired blood donor Jason was ill for a while and we wondered what could have caused a healthy dog to be in such a state.
An abdominal scan yesterday showed that there was a mass on his right kidney. He was rushed into surgery immediately at Gasing. The vet said they will remove the entire kidney and that the mass appeared to be spreading into the blood vessels and surrounding structures. They will try to scrape that out.
He will have only one kidney after surgery and will have to be monitor...

Our battle with the distemper outbreak is ongoing. We have isolated seven dogs that were roomies with the three that were infected. It still baffles us that all three were vaccinated dogs. We have concluded the first batch to receive the Recombitek vaccine. We are also pumping them with his doses of DMG and Vitamin C. We are in urgent need of help to keep this going and pay for it. Update on Grandpa Pappu:
1. Pappu vomited once yesterday. We brought him to Gasing vVet yesterday & today for follow up.
2. His blood test result showed his red blood cells and liver values are in the normal range. He is negative for pancreatitis.
3. But his neurological issue is getting worse as he is always shaking is head and unable to walk.
4. He has given medications for the vomiting. He needs to go for a follow-up again aft 2 weeks.

We lost our Deepa to distemper today. She was one of the three dogs that contracted distemper. The other two Sheru and Misa seem to be doing well. Our contact tracing indicates that they probably became infected at a veterinary clinic all three went to. They are also vaccinated dogs. They vets have advised us to quickly give all our dogs a Recombitek vaccination which is strong and will counter infection. We also need Vit C and DMG tablets.
