WHEN IT RAINS - IT POURS.
Dear all,
Our car, which we use for vet runs, met with an accident on the highway. We probably will not have a car for about a month as the adjuster will first have to validate the claim before the workshop can start repair works.. We have vet runs almost daily. We have not bought a car for MDDB as all the money we get is just sufficient to meet expenses. The car we were using was given by a friend. Does anyone here have an old car we can use? SOS SOS SOS. URGENT HELP NEEDED TO PAY FOR SAM'S SURGERY TODAY.
HE has multiple fractures in the hip that we will take care of later. He is now in need of urgent surgery as his bladder is torn. Sam's stomach is bloated because urine is trickling into his abdomen. He will not last if surgery is not done immediately. What we have raised so far is insufficient to pay for surgery. Please help us save Sam's life. SOS SOS SOS. A foreign worker at a factory in Kota Kemuning notified us of this dog that was knocked down four days ago. It has been lying there since. His stomach is very bloated and he apparently is unable to move. He is on his way to Gasing Veterinary Hospital. Please help us help this dog as we have pending bills there. MDDB carried out its first pound rescue in Feb 2019 and some dogs and all the puppies were removed from the DBKL pound which was then located in Setapak at that time. Amongst the dogs rescued was a young beagle. We admitted all the rescues at a vet clinic in Ara Damansara and managed to get one of our then volunteers to take her in. Vellaiyathevan was taken in by a temple caretaker March 2020. She used to sleep inside the temple hall at night and hang around outside the premises during the day. Her adopter left to his home country last month and she has not been allowed back in. Since she has been living in the temple all this while she will not be able to function well in the streets.

Farah of Kapar's 2nd surgery has been postponed at Klinik Haiwan Lian as her blood smear indicated low platelets count. Her 2nd surgery was scheduled to reconstruct the shattered right femur. Vet will wait until Farah's platelet count returns to optimal level.
