UPDATE ON JACK
Both front limb bearing weight quite well. However Jack's skin started having fair bit of itch. The vet has tried medicated shampoo bathe for the past 3 weeks and antihistamine however the itch still persist. Dr Lian recommend to change his kibbles to Royal Canin Hypoallergenic rather than steroid jab as a last option. Suspected the skin itch due to too much intake of antibiotics during the treatment for sturborn bacteria on the wound infection at both forelimbs that we managed to...

When it comes to puppies, we always tell independant rescuers to foster them first as our place is not suitable for motherless puppies. The noise and big snarling dogs frighten and stresse the little pups and sometimes the outcome is not good. We took in some motherless puppies in late Feb and March and found them infected with distemper. Luckily we managed to find a clinic to keep them. Update on Baby who is admitted at Gasing Vet. Baby is having hypertension. Her bp is 199/113 (normal bp is 120/80) and the vet said she might have had mild stroke yesterday as she was walking in zigzag. The hypertension might be caused by the increased kidney value from 200 to 600. She is on drips now and on medications to bring down her bp. She is eating the food that was brought over. Please send positive vibes to our baby.

Update on Jack :
Suture been removed for both forelimbs and all wounds healed well. However both limbs are still support with splints during postoperative care to minimise chances of plate breakdown. Occasionally, the ward assistant or vet will let him out for a walk around the ward area with close monitoring.
Appetite, bowel and urine so far so good. He has put on weight about 2kg (current body weight 22.4kg).
Jack is schedule for stage 4 surgery (not so soon) for interdental wire removal ...

Update on Sam:
During postoperative care, Dr Lian noticed most of the time Sam is in sternal recumbency or lying down. An x-ray was taken and found there are 2 pins backing out or migrating from the bone 4 weeks after surgery (reconstruction right hind distal harris fracture (growth plate fracture) with multiple pins).
Another surgery was performed to remove 2 migrated pins and castration. Sam is currently on postoperative rehabilitation and had his 1st vaccination.
