WHEN we set MDDB up in 2008, it was aimed at propagating a humane method of clearing the streets of strays. We understood that the local councils will continue to catch as long as there are complaints and as long as dog catching is a money churning activity.
The dog catching companies actually bid for open tenders from the local authorities to get the lucrative contracts. When MDDB was formed none of the groups currently present were there.

Dear all,
Final day of fund raising today to help the independant feeder and rescuer in Ipoh to free 17 dogs from the Ipoh City Hall pound. This lady is doing what we believe in - TNRM. All these dogs will be neutered and affixed the Ipoh SPCA collar which will prevent the council catching them, and released. This is how it should be and not remove from the pound and lock up in narrow cages and enclosures. Please help us support her. We will be transferring the funds to her tomorrow morning.

Three-legged had a misunderstanding with Puteh and bit her on her face. The victim was rushed to the vet as the wound was deep and she was admitted for a night at Gasing. 1. Happy, being a kidney patient, made a few visits to Gasing this week.
2. Junior Prince, rescued by indepandant rescuer Usha, was brought in with severe tick fever. We have nursed him back to health and took him to Gasing for a blood test to escertain if it was safe to vaccinate him.
