TERRAPIN RELEASE

Our annual Terrapin Release will be held as follows:
Date: 6th October 2018 (Saturday)
Time: 2:00 - 6:30 pm
Venue: TCS River Terrapin Conservation Center, Kg. Pasir Gajah, Kemaman (map here: https://goo.gl/maps/9w9yPK6akuL2)
We'll have a mini carnival at our center, a blood donation drive, health checks, colouring contest for children, games, etc. from 2:00 - 5:00 pm.

S.K. Seberang Tayur

Another successful Turtle Camp on 28th August 2018 with students of S.K. Seberang Tayur. This time we added another game, Sea Turtle Action game, so more students can engage in 'learning by playing' activities.
We thank Yayasan Bank Rakyat, Kemaman Sands Resort, Whitley Wildlife Conservation Trust and Malaysian Nature Society - Terengganu for supporting our Turtle Awareness Programmes.

S.K. Seberang Tayur Turtle Camp

On 28th August 2018, we hosted 40 students from S.K.Seberang Tayur, Kemaman in our Turtle Awareness Programme a.k.a. Turtle Camp in Kemaman Sands. We gave a lecture about turtles and played some games with the students. The students and teachers were appreciative and happy with our lectures and our Turtle Camp in general! 😊

The year has seen us forge great relationships with local communities which was instrumental in the success and growth of our project. It proves that we simply can’t do without community engagement. Conservation isn’t solely an endeavour by NGOs alone, we need the help of the local community to really make a difference. To put it succinctly, conservation is a task for everyone.

OSK Property Cleans Up Balok Beach

Joint forces during beach clean-up: Volunteers formed a group to work together in removing the nylon rope washed ashore. These ropes cause a great harm to the marine lives and birds when trapped.
PETALING JAYA: More than 200 people took part in the Beach Clean-up event today, comprising of OSK Group staff, school children, university students, representatives from NGOs and the general public.
