Our co-founder Dr. Chen Pelf Nyok will be speaking at the "Wildlife Conservation" forum, organised in conjunction with the 11th Kuala Lumpur Eco Film Festival (KLEFF).
The forum will be held on Wednesday, 24th October, in 2 sessions. The morning session consists of seven carefully curated wildlife conservationists who will be sharing their personal stories, and the second session is focussed on the international wildlife trade.

Now, the first genus in Family Geoemydidae for today’s #TaxaTuesday is Batagur, which contain 6 species, B. affinis, B. baska, B. borneoensis, B. dhongoka, B. kachuga & B. trivittata.
Batagur spp. are one of Asia’s largest freshwater turtles. They possess sexual dimorphism, the male Batagur also shows obvious colour change on their heads and bodies during the breeding season. Program Kesedaran Tuntung dan Penyu bersama-sama dengan pelajar-pelajar dari Sk Binjai Kemaman. Pelbagai aktiviti yang dijalankan, termasuk taklimat, aktiviti mencari harta karun, permainan Twister (sampai dua orang!) dan juga teka-teki.

After a long break, we are now back to our #TaxaTuesday !
Starting this week, #TaxaTuesday is entering the next Family, Geomydidae, Asian Leaf & Roofed turtles.
Family Geoemydidae is one of the largest and most diverse families in the order Testudines, containing about 70 species with 19 genera. In Malaysia, we have 11 species of river terrapins, which will be introduced in the following weeks.
