Introducing the first community-concept virtual run in Malaysia!
Run for River Terrapin aims to spread awareness on our critically endangered river terrapin as well as raising funds to support more conservation work.
Sign up individually or in a team of 10 and complete a minimum goal of 50km (cumulative distance), within August 2019, and receive a custom designed T-shirt, terrapin-shaped finishing medal and an e-cert. Free postage (within Malaysia)!

Meet the ladies of 'Batu Seremban' team!
These wonderful ladies of Kg. Pasir Gajah hand sewed those individual stones. That takes intense dedication and focus! They are also part of our community empowerment project and we are glad to receive good feedback from them.
'Batu Seremban' or Five Stones is a traditional game young girls used to play back then. It helps in hand-eye coordination. It's time for it to make a comeback and put aside those modern gadgets! Do you agree, parents? :)

Yesterday, we had another successful awareness program with over 460 students of SMK Kompleks Gong Badak. We were very grateful to get this opportunity to talk about our terrapin conservation project and get people to know more about our works in TCS.

She is one of the local women of Kg. Pasir Gajah. Prior to our introduction, Kak Na was a full-time housewife. She sometimes makes donuts, upon request. After initiating our project with the local women, Kak Na now, consistently, hand made drawstring bags from our authentic terrapin-motif batik! This is what the finisher medal for our #RunforRiverTerrapin #virtual run looks like. We wanted the medal to resemble the shell of a river terrapin. We're also pretty certain this is the first run for any turtle species in Malaysia :)

On 9th July 2019, TCS had conducted Turtle Awareness Camp for the third time with SK Seri Bandi 2 at Kemaman Sands. 41 students escorted by 5 teachers took part in this educational program.

Yesterday we went to SMK Sultan Sulaiman for turtle awareness program. We aim to spread wildlife conservation and its challenges to as many ‘future leaders’ as possible because through education one can really make a difference.
