#TakNakStraw Challenge.
A plastic straw will stay in the environment for hundreds of years, causing harm to wildlife and people. Straws and other single-use disposable plastics hurt sealife when they are mistaken for food. When animals encounter plastics, they can become entangled or can starve due to ingestion. Scientists estimate that more than half of all sea turtles have eaten plastic.
Take action by accepting this challenge and make a difference in your community!

TCS RIVER TERRAPIN CONSERVATION CENTRE
The TCS River Terrapin Conservation Centre was established in 2017, in Kg. Pasir Gajah, Kemaman. It is located right next to the Pasir Gajah Community Hall (Dewan Orang Ramai). The centre consists of a Turtle Gallery, a hatchery and a head-starting pond.

Did you know that we conduct Nature Discovery Trips to provide participants a more in-depth experience with nature? The 2D1N programme includes the one-day Turtle & Fireflies Discovery Trip plus a beach cleanup and trash analysis activity the next morning.
The 3D2N programme includes the 2D1N programme plus a river cruise and mangrove planting session. Children will be enrolled in our "Junior Scientist" programme in which they are taught the basics of data collection and recording.

Today We Are Done With Another Awareness Programme..

Today we are done with another awareness programme involving around 600 students from SMK Sultan Sulaiman 2.
We talked and shared with students and teachers about sea turtles and freshwater turtles mostly on their population status and their threats. Students also get to learn about Malayan Tiger and mangrove ecosystems that given talk by representatives from Zoo Kemaman and Ecocare Kerteh.

Our Turtle Awareness Programme Made Its Way To Smk..

Our turtle awareness programme made its way to SMK Sultan Ismail 2, today! Around 600 students and teachers attended. Students were amazingly supportive and interactive throughout the whole programme!
It’s so refreshing to see youngsters expressing their interest in knowing more about turtle conservation and current environmental issues.

A reminder to all participants of #RunforRiverTerrapin, please take care of your health while running for River Terrapin. Drink lots of water and avoid running on days with heavy haze and extremely hot weather. You can take a little break and resume your run when the weather turns better or just do an indoor run on a treadmill, just don’t forget to manually submit your run logs.
It’s good if you are enthusiastic to run, but always consider your health first.

On the 3rd & 4th of August, we had conducted a trip of 2D1N Nature Excursion and Beach Clean Up with SMK Kuala Lanar and SMK Setia Wangsa. 49 students participated, escorted by 2 ETAs and 8 local teachers.
