Two Days Ago, We Meet Two Research Teams, Who Came..

Two days ago, we meet two research teams, who came all the way down from UMT, at our Conservation Centre. They heard about our sick terrapins and offered to help. So, they’ve collected samples to run further analysis.

They are helping us identify the specific bacteria that’s causing eye infection and testing out the best treatment.
.
We are extremely grateful to Dr. @dahlia_sidique and Prof. Effendy’s research team for their helping hand!

Mungkin sebelum ini, ada di antara mereka yang tidak terfikir bahawa mereka mempunyai kemahiran untuk menjahit sebuah backpack. Tetapi berkat usaha masing-masing, setiap wanita berjaya menghasilkan backpack yang bukan sahaja cantik dan unik, tetapi juga praktikal.
Kami berasa amat bangga dengan usaha gigih dan pencapaian setiap wanita dalam program Pemerkasaan Wanita kami!

Community Empowerment Programme: Azlina Zakaria A.k.a Kak Na

We initiated our Community Empowerment Programme in 2019, which aims to empower local women in Kampung Pasir Gajah. Through this initiative, these full-time housewives were able to fashion our terrapin motive batik into a variety of reusable and eco-friendly merchandise. Proceeds from the sales has definitely help these women and their family, financially.

Guess Who Did A Bit Of Travelling In The Past Few ..

Guess who did a bit of travelling in the past few weeks?
This river terrapin was hatched in 2019. It was raised by Pakcik Wazel in Kg. Pasir Gajah, and was recently released during our terrapin release event on 15th August 2020.
On 5th September, it was caught by Mr. Soon, a local Kemaman resident in Kg. Pengkalan Pandan, Chukai. This feisty little one travelled approximately 25 km downstream in 3 weeks! How remarkable!
