Some Updates. Flood Waters Have Receded, And The A..

Some updates:
Flood waters have receded, and the affected families are in the process of assessing the damage done to their house. Those whose washing machine was submerged are trying to get it repaired. One lady offered to help another wash her clothes because there was too much laundry to do, and her washing machine wasn't working yet.
We'll discuss with the affected families tomorrow, and we will then disburse your contributions to them, to help them get back on their feet soonest possible...

Jutaan terima kasih diucapkan kepada Team Pemuda PAS DUN Kijal - PPDK kerana membantu membersihkan pejabat TCS di Taman Desa Solehah, Kemaman, pagi tadi.
Pejabat kami ditenggelami air lebih kurang 6 inci selama dua hari berikutan hujan selama 8 hari berturut-turut. Setelah air surut, lantai pejabat dilitupi selapisan selut.
Tanpa bantuan daripada sukarelawan Unit Amal Kijal, ia mungkin akan mengambil masa selama 2 hari untuk membasuh lantai pejabat. Mampu amat berterima kasih atas bantuan yan...

Some Updates From Today. All The Affected Families..

Some updates from today:
All the affected families have returned to their home and have started washing and cleaning. This process will take a few days, depending on how much they weren't able to move before they had to evacuate a few nights ago.
We have asked the ladies to assess the damage to their homes, and we will work together to purchase the necessary, i.e. damaged mattresses, pillows, broken electrical appliances such as rice cooker, table fan, etc.

Happy New Year!
We kickstarted the new year with a full-day "Basic Phone Photography Workshop" with the ladies in the local communities. The objective of this workshop was to equip the ladies with basic photography and post-processing skills to promote their products online.
Some of them brought their handmade soaps, upcycled denim handbags, baju kurung, cotton orchids, and one of them even brought a read-to-eat ikan bakar!

We conduct educational programmes with students every year. We try to conduct as many Turtle Camps as possible, with limited resources and all. We give talks to students in private schools, we collect a token sum from the students, and we bring these funds back to Kemaman so we could conduct Turtle Camps with the local students for free.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
