Did you know that turtles are living fossils? โ  โ  The oldest turtle fossil had been found in China and it was estimated to be 220 million years old! โ  โ  Turtles have been on Earth for millions of years since the Triassic period, which means they have been around since the dinosaur era. If you've visited us, you'd notice that there are pieces of driftwoods in our head starting pond. This is why we provide driftwoods in our tanks/ponds. For the terrapins to bask! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป Terrapins are cold-blooded, so they can't control their body temperature internally. They bask to absorb warmth and vital UV rays.
