Meet the talented TwoSisters DeuxSoeurs, Yi Xuan and Sharpay 🏆
These Two Sisters wrote and illustrated a children's book, titled "I Love Sea Turtles" after a visit to Terengganu.
Since then, they have been sharing their experiences and journey as an author and illustrator with school students and the public.
They recently visited Tanarata International School and Taylor International School, and managed to sell many copies of their book.

Last Month, We Were Invited To The Ngo Fair Charit.. 12th Jun 2023, by Turtle Conservation Society of Malaysia
Last month, we were invited to the NGO Fair & Charity Bazaar at Sunway University.
We had a good time engaging with students and staffs, raising awareness about all turtle species in Malaysia, and how they (+ you!) can help in saving the turtles 🌟
We also brought our exclusive turtle batik merchandise, 100% handmade by the local ladies in Kg. Pasir Gajah, Kemaman, Terengganu. All the proceeds go to supporting them and for our turtle conservation efforts 🐢

Last month, we ran a short comics competition on Instagram and all four judges unanimously selected this comic by Nur Khairina bt. Khair as the winner 🥰

Last Week, We Welcomed Three Groups Of Kindergarte.. 14th May 2023, by Turtle Conservation Society of Malaysia
Starting early May last week, we have welcomed some group of students from 3 local kindergartens!
They came to our centre and learnt about all types of turtles, the conservation work, the importance of saving critically endangered terrapins, visited the gallery of specimens, and did colouring activity with us. They even hold the terrapins bravely!
Some of the groups were lucky, as they get to see baby terrapins emerged from the sand! 🐢

We've reached the end of this series!
Up last, is the Elongated Tortoise (Indotestudo elongata). Like its name suggests, its shell is a bit stretched out, making it look quite long.
It is not a picky eater as it enjoys eating different kinds of fruits and soft leaves, but it won't turn its nose up at anything else it stumbles on, like mushrooms, carrion and even carnivore scats!

Introducing Malaysia's largest tortoise, the Asian Brown Tortoise (Manouria emys).
It can weigh up to 25 kg and is believed to be among the most primitive of living tortoises, based on the molecular and morphological studies.
With a diet of leaves, bamboo shoots, fruit, roots, tubers, mushrooms, insects, crabs, prawns and frogs, no one is going to accuse this tortoise of being a fussy eater!
