This Morning We Had A Big Surprise Waiting For Us ..

This morning we had a BIG surprise waiting for us in the form of a SMALL package! Someone had left a tiny kitten outside the shelter covered in silver metal paint!! 😢😢😢 There was a note informing us that the kitten had fallen into a container of paint whilst a contractor was painting at a hotel on the island.
It has taken us over 3 hours already to get him cleaned up and he’s still not 100% paint free. We have more volunteers working on it this afternoon and we’re obviously keepin...

Dog of the week - Fluffy - ready for adoption 🐾
Fluffy and his brother Puffy were dropped off at the shelter as pups in 2014.
They were adopted at about 5 months old by the housekeeper of a Candian family who had an acre of land and a swimming pool, a perfect home for the dogs. Unfortunately, when the house was sold 6 months later, they were returned to the shelter.
They love to jump and play, and for dogs of their size, they need a home with lots of space to run around. Volunteers love t...

Dog of the week - Mei Mei - ready for adoption 🐕
Mei Mei (pronounced May May) was left at the shelter in mid-2018. She loves toys and so appreciates a tug of war session. She is a confident girl and has a bubbly character. She is strong when on the lead and gets very excited to go for a walk.
She would be an ideal family dog. She loves lots of attention and has bags of energy!

Dog of the week - LAGUNA - ready for adoption 🐾
Laguna was brought in to LASSie in 2016 by residents of The Laguna Apartments as he was found hanging around the grounds of the apartment buildings. He was treated for a slight limp.
2019 has been a tough year for Laguna as he has had some bad skin issues. He is on medication and a special program to help get his fur back. He’s slowly getting better and livelier.
