Rama & Phimghon's Coconut Biscuit Feast...

Please take a moment to watch this great video of Rama & Pimghon two of the older dogs at Soi Dog. Pimghon's jaw was tied in wire when he arrived at Soi Dog and Rama was rescued from the floods in Bangkok just barely alive.
Their stories underscore the importance of Soi Dog's sponsorship program in helping all the neglected and abused dogs and cats. Sponsoring one of the dogs at the shelter is one of the most effective ways you can help all the dogs for which Soi Dog cares.

CASSIE LANDED IN CANADA. Message from Rebecca.
Hi John and Cindy, we are finally home, and as it's after 2am we are heading to bed, but I wanted to let you both know that Cassie/Malee is here, she is absolutely GORGEOUS, and we are just thrilled with her. She has had a couple of chances to stretch her legs, done what she needed to, had water and some food, and is settled in for the night. Message from Tao Hoo's new owner in Denmark. I didn't recognize her after Reggie gave her a proper poodle hair cut.
Hello Everyone, Tao hoo arrived in Denmark yesterday, safe, sound and very happy after her long fight from Phuket:-) Oh boy!! i'm in love, she's a really gorgeous little girl, the cutest little button! Eddie, Steen and I have just been spending every minute with her, that it's only now i've dragged myself away to turn the computer on and let everyone know, Sorry! Tao hoo loves her...

A Thai Airways check in operator took this photo and the next of Twinkle and Hudini about to depart for Hamburg VERY early this morning. SDF supporter and previous adopter of Foxy accompanied the dogs who are going to a new home with Nicole Bleuel who met the dogs in January.
Hudini has only 3 legs but is the more confident of the two.
Both were very relaxed in their crates. Have a great life!

Pammi has just come back from SDF & has had her 2nd interferon injection, today she is not eating (yesterday she ate for Thailand) She is drinking well & has had fluids IV & she will get more later today. I shall try her again with more food in a couple of hours when the interferon should have kicked in. Doing my best guy's but please send her healing thoughts!

0-47 here & just tried Pammi with late supper, as eaten really only 1 meal today in total.... no joy, parvo kicked in big time with the usual severe bloody liquid poop. She is so quiet for her, have just cuddled & kissed her & told her all you guy's are willing her to get better, please shout louder, she's having problems hearing you! G x

JET (MIURA) MAKES THE "HESKA" CALENDAR!... Many of you may remember "Jet' the black spaniel who we re-homed last year to Alex & his young daughter "Alina" in California. The great news is Jet (now called Miura) made it to the "Heska" calendar - having a cuddle with his best friend "Alina". POLKER FINDS HER FAMILY IN PHUKET!... The lovely "Polker" was adopted this week to Chris & Paula (British expats living in Chalong, Phuket). Chris is a regular volunteer at the shelter & he & Paula decided that Polker would make a wonderful addition to their family. Polker is a gorgeous, cuddly girl & we will all miss her very much!

Probably everybody remembers this photo taken at dog island. The dog in the photo was one of 3 siblings all very sick who weer evacuated to private clinics in Bangkok. This one spent 7 days in an oxygen tent and was not expected to survive but she did. All three were flown to Phuket when well enough to travel. The other photo was taken of the three of them this week. Description below is from our adopters club page!

ALL IN A DAYS WORK AT SOI DOG... These dogs are typical examples we see every day here at Soi Dog. Most of these street dogs have never received any medical treatment in their lives. They're frightened & bewildered. Without our help, these dogs would suffer & their future woud be very bleak.

A NEW YEAR A NEW LIFE. Today is Songkran. (Thai New Year).
No more fitting day for Cassie, who was one of the dogs rescued from the Dog Meat Traders en route to Vietnam, to commence another journey, only this time to a loving new home in Canada, where new mum Rebeccah will meet her at Toronto airport tomorrow afternoon local time. Here she is just about to levee the shelter.

Maxine Is Safe

MAXINE MEETS HER PHOTOGRAPHER!... Maxine became the symbol of the Bangkok Floods. After being swept away in the flood waters & presumed drowned.
It surprised us all when Maxine was found alive a few weeks ago & we flew her to Soi Dog in Phuket. It was not until this week that Maxine & her photographer (Cindy) met in person & took a walk together. A very happy ending for a very famous dog!
