SOMPHONG'S INCREDIBLE RECOVERY & HAPPY ENDING!... Somphon is an old street dog who was found on the streets of Phuket in a very bad state. He was suffering from a severe case of mange which caused terrible crusty, painful skin, swollen feet. LORETTA - A VERY TRUSTING LITTLE DOG... Loretta is now 12 weeks old. She was saved from being drowned along with her mother & siblings when she was just 4 weeks old. She's now chilling out in our Puppy Run & is the most relaxed, trusting little dog we've ever seen!

Rogers's Story... Roger's was found and cared for by 2 Phuket visitors from Australia. She has probably been owned by a foreigner before & dumped when they left. She obviously can't fend for herself so will be staying at the shelter. Yet another example of the importance of Soi Dog's sponsorship program. UPDATE ON TUK TUK DRIVER COLLECTING DOGS IN BANGKOK.
Many thanks to everybody who posted re. this story. We are very happy to be able to report that people in Bangkok have traced the driver and he is actually working with his sister and niece collecting stray animals and taking them to a Government run sterilization clinic. So thankfully these dogs were not destined for the dog meat trade.

"Ling Yai" - SHE'S LOOKING FOR LOVE!... This dear little soul was found in the Chalong area of Phuyket- very weak & suffering severe skin problems. She loves nothing more than to be cuddled & will sit on your knee for hours. She's 15 months old & extremely sweet. AN UPDATE ON CARAMEL'S KITTENS!... Remember Caramel & her kittens who we recently featured? Well the kittens are growing up fast & now able to enjoy the delights of our cat suite! One kitten has been adopted but we still have 3 kittens plus mother cat Caramel available to be adopted to new homes.

A busy couple of days. Nam Kheng departed after midnight on Thursday. This morning it was a 4 am start for Conchita and John. Conchita spent her last hours on Phuket also at John and Gills house. She is the twin sister of I-Ya the dog so badly wounded on Mai Khao beach and is heading for Singapore and new owner Sara Paz who found them both. I-Ya continues to recover well. Her left eye now removed.

NAM KHENG ARRIVES LOS ANGELES. Message just received. Nam Keng arrived in LA safe & sound & very happy & hungry. He had a little kibble, made pp ,went exploring & now wants to cuddle.
In my aarms as I write this
He is the most FANTAStIC dog!!!!
We absolutely ADORE Nam Keng!!!
Thank you for loving him and making it possible for us to be a part of his life!
Off to get our rental car. We have a 3-4 day drive ahead

MEET THE DOGS FROM OUR TREATMENT/RECOVERY RUNS... Our "C" Runs house many dogs who cannot be mixed with others for various reasons. Some have come from our intensive care clinic & are recovering from treatment, others are waiting for sterilization. Some pens contain dogs with similar problems - we have skin problem dogs, TVT (venereal tumours) & most of these dogs have not been fully vaccinated, so we need to keep them quarantined for safety. Gale improving. We now know what happened to Gale. Clare a volunteer who looks after Kata and Karon dogs received several calls about him but was unable to catch him. Was told by several people that a Thai woman poured boiling water on his head. Nobody will say who the woman was. Will of course stay at SDF as could happen again.

ME & MY SISTER.... THEY'RE INSEPARABLE & NEED A FOREVER HOME TOGETHER!
You've read their story & seen their photo album, now see these two sisters on video!
These 2 shy dogs were found at a local temple in 2009 by a volunteer called "Rock" & the 2 girls were named after him - Rockess & Rocksette. They were severely malnourished when found & constantly picked on by the other temple dogs. The girls were miserable, could not compete for food & had virtually given up on living.
