VIOLET'S OFF TO THE USA!... Remember "Violet"? We located this little girl during the Bangkok Floods last November, stranded on the Dog Island Bridge. She had a severe case of mange & we found her covered in "Jensen Violet" - an old Thai remedy.
Violet's been living at our Phuket shelter & is now fully recovered & about to leave for Boston, USA! She'll fly to Bangkok today & then hop on her flight to Boston with a flight volunteer. Thanks to everyone involved with getting Violet to her new ...

Soi Dog supporters Richy and Emma rescued Sonny & Cher and need to find them a home ASAP.

Sunny and Cher are brother and sister who were found by one of the busiest roads in Phuket scavenging for foods. While they were in reasonable health they were covered in flees and mites.

This lovely dog was recently hit by car & suffered a serious break to his leg which needed a metal plate to help fix it. After three weeks, "Baudelaire" is now learniing to walk again & getting lots of help from volunteers which is aiding his recovery.

Gigia was found at Patong Beach by a restaurant owner. A man was apparently hitting her with a piece of wood & threatening to kill her.
Soi Dog’s Animal Rescue Officers rescued Gigia & brought her to the shelter where she is now safe & cared for. She is a very kind, friendly dog who loves people & gets on with well with the other dogs in her run.

Over the next 2 years Soi Dog aims to sterlize 20,000 animals on the island of Phuket. This week our vets set up a temporary sterlization clinic in the grounds of Mai Khao school & locals were encouraged to bring their pets along.

PLEASE DON'T LEAVE US BEHIND!... You probably don't recognise us now, we've grown a bit since you last saw us on facebook. Our names are Leonard, Derek & James & we're the three remaining pups from "The Lucky 8". We were dumped at a Phuket Temple with our 5 siblings when just three days old. We needed bottle feeding every 3 hours & were hand reared by Volunteers, who took us home & cared for us 24 hours a day.

Rogers's Story... Roger's was found and cared for by 2 Phuket visitors from Australia. She has probably been owned by a foreigner before & dumped when they left. She obviously can't fend for herself so will be staying at the shelter.

In April of 2011 Cleo was brought to PhaNgan Animal Care (PAC). Her original owner left her when she became paralyzed and then the owner left the country. With suspected tick fever Cleo was already paralyzed and unable to drink or eat by herself.

He was suffering from a severe case of mange which caused terrible crusty, painful skin, swollen feet. LORETTA - A VERY TRUSTING LITTLE DOG... Loretta is now 12 weeks old. She was saved from being drowned along with her mother & siblings when she was just 4 weeks old. She's now chilling out in our Puppy Run & is the most relaxed, trusting little dog we've ever seen!

UPDATE ON TUK TUK DRIVER COLLECTING DOGS IN BANGKOK.
Many thanks to everybody who posted re. this story. We are very happy to be able to report that people in Bangkok have traced the driver and he is actually working with his sister and niece collecting stray animals and taking them to a Government run sterilization clinic. So thankfully these dogs were not destined for the dog meat trade.

"Ling Yai" - SHE'S LOOKING FOR LOVE!... This dear little soul was found in the Chalong area of Phuyket- very weak & suffering severe skin problems. She loves nothing more than to be cuddled & will sit on your knee for hours. She's 15 months old & extremely sweet.
