Good News On Go Go The Shitzu..............
Soi Dog has been receiving tons of emails and questions about Go-Go the Shitzu rescued just a few days ago and rushed to the shelter for emergency treatment with various wounds and a terribly infected maggot infested eye wound.
Go Go is doing well and starting to yap at the other dogs (a very good sign!).
Possible surgery tomorrow or early next week.

Emmy was dumped at a local Phuket vet clinic in February 2010 when she was just 10 months old. Emmy has lived in our (B1) run ever since & spent most of her time hiding under one of the bamboo sala's. She was scared of people & barked at everyone who tried to befriend her. Over the past 6 months Emmy's become much more confident. No longer is she hiding under the sala & barking, she's coming out to greet people! PLEASE DON'T LEAVE US BEHIND!... You probably don't recognise us now, we've grown a bit since you last saw us on facebook. Our names are Leonard, Derek & James & we're the three remaining pups from "The Lucky 8".

Congratulations To Soi Dog Bangkok and all the supporting volunteers on completing the 11th mobile sterilization clinic this time at Suwanabhumi Airport
They have managed to spay 23 animals in total, less than our target (30) due to the difficulty of the landscape.

Tess – New home needed urgently!
We have had Tess since she was a puppy – we rescued her from the street with her mother approximately 5 years ago. She has always been an affectionate dog and loves going for walks. Unfortunately as time has gone on we have had to separate her from our other dogs (except for one “Snoopy” as they get on very well) as she has attacked two of our other dogs. VIOLET'S OFF TO THE USA!... Remember "Violet"? We located this little girl during the Bangkok Floods last November, stranded on the Dog Island Bridge. She had a severe case of mange & we found her covered in "Jensen Violet" - an old Thai remedy. Violet's been living at our Phuket shelter & is now fully recovered & about to leave for Boston, USA! Rockess & Rocksette are looking for someone special. This lovely pair rarely come out of the safety of their run, where they both live in the corner - scared of the more dominant dogs.

Jumper is 5 years old & spent her entire life at the Soi Dog shelter. She's super friendly, affectionate, playful - the perfect family dog. The first time we met Violet on Dog Island. As well as mange she was suffering from pneumonia and was one of several dogs taken to a private clinic in Bangkok for treatment before being flown to Phuket. Although very ill at the time it was a stroke of good fortune for her as otherwise would have gone to temporary shelter and now be back at Phuttamonthon instead of going to a wonderful home in America.
