SOMPHON HAS A SURPRISE COMING!... Remember Somphon, the wise old street dog who arrived with horrible mange & barely able to walk? Somphong broke a heart a long way away in Toronto, Canada. That heart belonged to "Rebecca" who has decided to give this old dog a happy home, something he's never experienced before in his life. Somphong will fly to Canada in a few months time & meet his new family!

We have a flight volunteer able to transport Musee to USA in November, but her family can't wait to receive her & we're hoping to get her a flight much sooner. DUSTIE FINDS HER FOREVER HOME IN PHUKET!
Dustie has been at the shelter for 16 months, since she was just 16 weeks old. We've always wanted to find a forever home for this stunning girl & a few days ago our dream came true. As many of you know Soi Dog has launched the Trade of Shame campaign to bring to an end, once and for all to the inhumane and barbaric dog meat trade. Sunny and Cher are brother and sister who were found by one of the busiest roads in Phuket scavenging for foods. While they were in reasonable health they were covered in flees and mites. URGENT HOME NEEDED FOR CATALEA.. PLEASE HELP! Catalea was dumped on the steets of Phuket a few months ago. She's an elderly little dog (at least 8 years old) maybe more. She has a problem with her back right leg & does not walk properly. She's also deaf & has very limited sight.

"LING YAI" JOINS THE FAMILY!.... Sweet little Ling Yai found a home last week with local expat couple Chris & Paula who also recently adopted "Polker"! Chris tells us that Ling Yai & Polker are getting on famously together & the family of four is now complete! We wish them all a wonderful life together & a huge thanks to Chris & Paula for giving not just one but 2 shelter dogs forever homes.

UPDATE ON DMT ADOPTIONS
Soi Dog is suspending for the time being the removal of dogs from the Khemmerat shelter for adoption to the UK OR EUROPE. These dogs need to spend 3 months in Thailand prior to departure (blood test requirements, etc.) & we no longer have any space left to house these dogs for the 3 months pending their travel. Our Bangkok facility is full & our Phuket shelter is at capacity.

ME & MY SISTER.... THEY'RE INSEPERABLE & NEED A FOREVER HOME TOGETHER! These 2 shy dogs were found at a local temple in 2009 by a volunteer called "Rock" & the 2 girls were named after him - Rockess & Rocksette. They were severely malnourished when found & constantly picked on by the other temple dogs. The girls were miserable, could not compete for food & had virtually given up on living. Go - Go's Story...

GO GO GOOD NEWS UPDATE !
Soi Dog has been receiving tons of emails and questions about Go-Go the Shitzu rescued just a few days ago and rushed to the shelter for emergency treatment with various wounds and a terribly infected maggot infested eye wound.
Go Go is doing well and starting to yap at the other dogs (a very good sign!). Possible surgery tomorrow or early next week.
