PROSPERO - A LITTLE DOG WITH A BIG HEART... Prospero's file says she's 6 years & 4 months old. It also says she's been at the Soi Dog shelter for 6 years & 3 months. That means this dear little dog has spent her entire life in our care. We'd love to see Prospero find a proper home & our ultimate dream is to see a photo of Prospero in her forever home, sound asleep on a comfy couch posted here on facebook! DR. SU, IS COMING TO AMERICA !!!
Our dear Dr. Su became popular among Facebook friends sometime ago when she took personal care of the now famous Shiver, the little puppy who was found last year in a drain sewer in Phuket.
Dr. Su will come to the United States in September on a 2 weeks trip to participate in different trainings sessions at two Miami clinics and a rescue shelter organization in the same city.
This will be Dr. Su's first time ever in the States. Her ticket, stay and al...

BEST FRIENDS - ADOPTED TOGETHER!.. This is Makork - left (now Flo) & Zossimo (now Billy) perfectly content in their new UK home. This pair were recently adopted by Frances & her family & have settled in beautifully to their new home as you can see! Makork was a long term resident at Soi Dog who used to spend her days hiding under a sala. Zossimo was rescued from the dog meat trade.

Gigia was found at Patong Beach by a restaurant owner. A man was apparently hitting her with a piece of wood & threatening to kill her.
Soi Dog’s Animal Rescue Officers rescued Gigia & brought her to the shelter where she is now safe & cared for. She is a very kind, friendly dog who loves people & gets on with well with the other dogs in her run.

Many thanks to Pfizer Thailand for donating urgent vaccines for the treatment of rescued dogs held at the Khemmerat and Nakhon Phanom shelters. Pfizer has agreed to donate 1,000 combi and 1,000 rabies vaccinations for Soi Dog’s sterilization programs this week and next at Nakhom Phanom and Khemmarat.
Soi Dog has also purchased from Pfizer another 1,500 combi and 1,000 rabies vaccines in total 4,500 vaccines.

DOGS RESCUED FROM MEAT TRADE ARRIVE IN PHUKET! Today the first five of 25 dogs recently rescued from the meat trade & destined for new homes in the UK, arrived at the Soi Dog shelter in Phuket. These dogs need to spend 3 months in Phuket before they travel to the UK & will be accommodated in 2 new runs which have recently been completed. Soi Dog is seeking volunteers to assist in the vaccination program of the additional rescued dogs being held at the Nakhon Phanom shelter.
August 18 and 19 (Saturday, Sunday) possibly Monday the 20th as well.
People must be Ok working with dogs. Will require people to hold and restrain dogs.

Kanga AKA Kangaroo would have to be one of the friendliest dogs at the Soi Dog shelter. His left eye is missing as he was the subject of abuse by some children who'd badly injured his eye by firing a catapult at him. GOODBYE LITTLE ALICIA...
It's been such a sad week at the shelter. Two of our long term residents have sadly passed away. We brought you the sad news of dear little Emmy earlier this week & now poor little Alicia has died.
Alicia lived in our Hotel run. She was an extremely quiet, timid little girl who liked her own company. She had her own little kennel which she guarded jealously. She learned to love treats from volunteers & if you gave her one, she'd run back to her kennel to keep it saf...

Dak is a pretty girl, approx 6 years old. She's been at the shelter here in Phuket for 5 years now. She's quiet & a little bit shy. She likes the easy life - very easy going with the other dogs & keeps out of trouble. She originally came from the government dog pound. She's such a lovely girl & we'd love to see her curled up on someone's couch. She's done her time at the shelter & now needs a loving home. In early July Soi Dog personnel visited the Khemmerat and Buri Ram (Buriram) Livestock facilities NE of Bangkok where dogs rescued from dog meat trade smugglers were housed. At Khemmerat the dogs were neither segregated, nor sterilized and due to the lack of segregation breeding was occurring with litters having already been born. DOMINO'S VIDEO... Here's the boy who has a free ticket to Los Angeles this month. We just need someone to fall in love & give Dom his forever home. The video shows Domino hiding under his sala, coming out for cuddles & even getting picked on by another dog.
