FOXY ARRIVES IN CHICAGO. Foxy one of 30 dogs rescued from the dog meat trade and taken to Khemmarat that are now at SDF Bangkok clinic pictured with Dawn Trimmel after arriving at Chicago airport. Many thanks to Khun Kharn (SDF manager Bangkok) for caring for these dogs and organising the flight.

LULU - SAVED FROM THE BANGKOK FLOODS... This sweet little dog was rescued from the Bangkok floods back in November last year. Her photo was seen on our facebook page by Molly who lived in Bangkok & was anxious to adopt Lulu (who was then called Phutta). Molly picked up Lulu from a Bangkok vet clinic where she'd spent a week recovering from her ordeal. We handed over Lulu to Molly & she was a bedraggled, smelly dog with a gash on her ear & so needed someone to love her.

SDF is aware of posts on other pages attacking its sterilization operation at Khemmarat livestock center. Whilst we accept that a few Thai people because of religious beliefs are opposed to sterilization, which we respect, the "facts" being stated are not true.
SDF sterilized 570 dogs at the Khemmarat shelter to prevent a potential disaster there.
None of the dogs were sterilized and many females were in season and as happens bringing the others into season.

Soi Dog supporters Richy and Emma rescued 2 puppies Sunni and Cher. Sunni has now been adopted but Cher has not!
Poor Cher, now that her brother Sunni has been adopted she has no one to sleep with or play with. Where she used to jump around all day she now just sits around looking glum. Her left ear is no longer floppy and has started to stick up in typical Soi dog style...

NICOLE GIVES HUDINI & TWINKLE THEIR FOREVER HOME!
In April this year, Hudini & Twinkle (2 of our shelter dogs) flew to Germany to meet their new mum, Nicole. Nicole is a regular visitor to the Soi Dog shelter & on her last visit chose 2 dogs to complete her family.

UPDATE ON THE DOGS AT THE NAKHON PHANOM SHELTER WHO WERE RESCUED FROM DOG MEAT SMUGGLERS... Soi Dog is collaborating with the Department of Livestock in providing food, medicines and veterinary help for the 1200+ dogs rescued from the dog meat traders. These dogs are currently being held at the Nakhon Phanom shelter in NE Thailand. 12 tons of food has been shipped as well as large quantities of vital medicines, mostly importantly vaccines.

SDF would like to thank Nok Air for sponsoring the flights of our team to Khemmarat. The project is now complete with 570 dogs sterilized. This all the dogs that were well enough to have surgery, excepting pregnant dogs and dogs being adopted as group organizing the adoptions refused permission. A major catastrophe has been averted, as nearly all the females were coming into season which could have led to literally thousands of unwanted puppies being born there.

BREAKING NEWS!... A kind suppporter has offered to pay for Domino's flight to Los Angeles!.. We have a flight volunteer flying to LA later this month & Domino could be on this flight. All we need to do is find him a new family in or near Los Angeles, USA!
Domino has spent his entire life at the shelter (5 years), so we don't want to miss this chance to find him a home of his own.

ANYONE FOR DOMINO? ... Domino was dumped at the shelter in a sack with 3 other puppies, when he was just 4 weeks old. That was 5 years ago... Domino's been at the shelter all his life & it's his turn to find a forever home.
Domino is a very affectionate dog who loves human company. Even though he's a reasonable sized dog, he does tend to get bullied by the more dominant dogs in his run & spends most of his day underneath his sala. He loves to come out for cuddles as long as the other dogs are...

Pictured here are some of the first volunteers from Bangkok arriving at the Nakhon Phanom quarantine station where the 1200+ dogs rescued from dog meat smugglers are being sheltered.
Sod Dog is collaborating with livestock dept and have 7 tons of dog food and 5 tons of rice arriving shortly in addition to large quantities of vaccines and other vital medicines.

BREAKING NEWS!...MORE DOGS SAVED, BUT WE NEED YOUR HELP
On Saturday night a convoy with around 800 dogs destined for the Dog Meat Trade in Vietnam was intercepted by Thai police. The dogs had been kept in the jungle for several days without food and water and were very weak.
The only viable option was to transport these dogs to the shelter facilities in Nakhom Phanom. However the Governor of Nakhom Phanom stated that the funds were not available to care for and feed these dogs. Soi Dog Foundati...

Maxine is doing well her coat is fully grown back.She is a perfect Sweetheart to me however a perfect watchdog too.
