Khun Toom of Soi Dog spent Saturday & Sunday this past weekend at the Nakhon Phanom shelter managing Soi Dog’s vaccination program there.

DOMINO HAS JUST LANDED IN LOS ANGELES!..
Great news! Domino has made it to LA and is doing great. Kathy Dom's foster mum and her daughter picked up Domino at LAX after his long trip from Phuket. They said he is in good spirits and doesn't seem stressed at all. He had a nice long potty break and was happy to jump in the back if the car with Kathy's daughter and is on his way to his new foster home.

Nakhon Phanom Vaccination Program

4,500 vaccines have arrived at the Nakhon Phanom shelter where dogs recovered from recent smuggling operations are housed.
On Saturday Soi Dog’s project coordinator Khun Toom, 5 volunteers from the volunteer group “Dog Nation” and 5 veterinarians began the vaccination of the newly arrived dogs.
The team was divided into 3 groups; catching the dogs, vaccine preparation and administration of the vaccines.

Gigia was found at Patong Beach by a restaurant owner. A man was apparently hitting her with a piece of wood & threatening to kill her.

More Photos Of Dogs Rescued From Smugglers Bound For The UK...

Some of the first dogs flown down from Soi Dog Bangkok to Phuket this week. An additional 10 will come down next week. These dogs are all dogs rescued from dog meat smugglers.
Many of these dogs were sick, having not been vaccinated hence carrying highly communicable diseases such as distemper. A number survived from distemper but only after isolation and costly treatment at Soi Dog’s clinic in Bangkok.
As can be seen they are lovely dogs and very happy to now have space to play in.

Shanti… Shanti has been with Soi Dog for a long time. Many years ago Soi Dog moved into the government dog pound (this before the shelter existed). Many of the dogs at the pound were in a sorry state including Shanti. She was very stressed at the pound spending all waking ours running around in an agitated state.

Some of the dogs rescued from the dog meat trade arriving at Soi Dog for their quarantine period prior to their further travel to adopters in the UK. These guys are the lucky ones rescued from the dinner tables in Vietnam and now on their way yo loving homes in the UK.

Our dear Dr. Su became popular among Facebook friends sometime ago when she took personal care of the now famous Shiver, the little puppy who was found last year in a drain sewer in Phuket.

BEST FRIENDS - ADOPTED TOGETHER!.. This is Makork - left (now Flo) & Zossimo (now Billy) perfectly content in their new UK home. This pair were recently adopted by Frances & her family & have settled in beautifully to their new home as you can see! Makork was a long term resident at Soi Dog who used to spend her days hiding under a sala. Zossimo was rescued from the dog meat trade.
