500 DOGS WERE YESTERDAY MOVED FROM OVERCROWDED NAKHON PHANOM SHELTER TO KHEMMARAT FOLLOWING SDF's VACCINATION PROGRAM THERE. This still leaves around 1200 dogs at Nakhon Phanom and now a similar number at Khemmarat where the manager today called SDF requesting more assistance with food. Buriram shelter which was closed and dismantled now also taking more dogs in, and the situation in remote Kanchanaburi remains grave despite new shelters and medication getting there. Roz's Story...
Roz is almost blind. Soi Dog’s animal rescue officers found her severely malnourished, wandering the streets of Phuket searching for food.

A SAFE PLACE FOR "ALDO"... Poor old "Aldo" was found roaming the streets in Rawai, Phuket. He's an old boy - around 9 years of age & he's had a tough life. He's got barely any hair & is just skin & bone.

DR. SU IS COMING TO AMERICA !!!
Our dear Dr. Su became popular among Facebook friends sometime ago when she took personal care of the now famous Shiver, the little puppy who was found last year in a drain sewer in Phuket.
Dr. Su will come to the United States in September on a 2 weeks trip to participate in different trainings sessions at two Miami clinics and a rescue shelter organization in the same city. This will be Dr. Su's first time ever in the States.

HELP! THREE DOGS (RESCUED FROM MEAT TRADE) NEED A CAR RIDE TO CALAIS, FRANCE...
Help!... we need to find someone to drive 3 small dogs & 2 people from Brussels airport to Calais, France on the 9th of September. These dogs were rescued from the Dog Meat trade & have forever homes waiting for them in the UK. Flight volunteers are accompanying the dogs on the flight from Thailand to Brussels & then onto the UK.

Rogers's Story... Roger's was found and cared for by 2 Phuket visitors from Australia. She has probably been owned by a foreigner before & dumped when they left. She obviously can't fend for herself so will be staying at the shelter. Yet another example of the importance of Soi Dog's sponsorship program. NAKHON PHANOM: -- Residents of a Nakhon Phanom tambon have set up checkpoints at night to prevent gangs involved in dog thefts whose activities have increased over the past few months, Suriya Chaomoo, headman of tambon Kuruku said on Monday .
The dogs were being snatched between 1 and 4am, he said, adding that most of the villagers who had lost their pets to thieves lived near the road.

Bangkok Residents - Attention - Truck Needed
Another 70 dogs have been rescued from smugglers in the Mahasarakham area of NE Thailand. These dogs will be taken to the shelter in Buri Ram where rescued dogs have been kept in the past.
Soi Dog is in urgent need of a (small) truck to transport approx. 500 KG of food to these dogs as soon as possible - if anyone in Bangkok has a truck available for loan or to drive please contact K Kharn at Phimpakarn@soidog.org

Mobile Clinic Bangkok Number 15

SOS Animals Thailand and Soi Dog partnered in conducting a mobile clinic in Bangkok last week. The dogs live on a contained 5 rai (roughly 2 acres) block of land and the population had been significantly increasing currently totaling 30+ dogs from the original 2 that lived there (an insight into the importance of sterilization particularly in areas like Bangkok which is home to 300,000+ strays).
