DAK IS STILL LOOKING FOR HER FOREVER HOME... Dak has been at the shelter since 2007, so has spent almost her entire life in our shelter. She's a quiet, easy going girl who would love a home of her own. Dak is a healthy 6 year old who would make a lovely addition to a family. If you can offer Dak a home, please email cindy@soidog.org

For all who have asked about the man being prosecuted - this will not happen as there are no animal cruelty laws in Thailand. He is free & at large to do it again & again.
Re posts about adopting Anatacia - Any dog at SDF can go to the UK it just takes about 4 months & the money to pay for the flight, cage & blood tests etc.

Noddy & Sweet Pea's story.
Noddy & Sweet Pea were rescued from the Bangkok floods back in November 2011. They were taken from "Dog Island" to a vet in Bangkok by Soi Dog where they were treated for malnutrition, blood parasites & chest infection, both recovered well. Noddy was the first one to fly to Soi Dog Phuket followed shortly by Sweet Pea, after she'd spent around 10 days in an oxygen tent to help with her breathing.

SHIVER UPDATE!... Here is a long awaited photo of Shiver (taken yesterday). Shiver spent many months in our Puppy Run, but he's a big boy now so a few weeks ago we moved him to our A3 run where he appears to be settling in nicely & now has friends his own age & size. Shiver is pictured here on a hot sunny afternoon, taking shade on a sala with his friend "Silley". Shiver is still a very shy dog & still quite scared of people. Roz is almost blind. Soi Dog’s animal rescue officers found her severely malnourished, wandering the streets of Phuket searching for food.

TIGGER ARRIVES IN BOSTON, USA!

At long last "Tigger" has arrived at his new home in Boston!! Many thanks to flight volunteer - 16 year old "Chananmr Suksangium" for accompanying Tigger on his epic journey. Tigger is now settling into home life & is apparently getting on well with the adopters other dog & having fun exploring his new world. Tigger was a one of our shelter dogs who was very unhappy & we were very keen to find him a forever home. Thanks to everyone involved in getting Tigger home!

SAVED FROM THE DOG MEAT TRADE & WAITING TO FLY TO UK!

These are the latest photos of the dogs that were saved from the Illegal Dog Meat Trade & who are now residing at our Phuket shelter awaiting flights to the UK, where they have homes waiting for them. They are all beautiful, friendly dogs & will make great pets. It is so nice to see them happy & safe & we will be relieved to see them finally meet their new families. 500 DOGS WERE YESTERDAY MOVED FROM OVERCROWDED NAKHON PHANOM SHELTER TO KHEMMARAT FOLLOWING SDF's VACCINATION PROGRAM THERE. This still leaves around 1200 dogs at Nakhon Phanom and now a similar number at Khemmarat where the manager today called SDF requesting more assistance with food. Buriram shelter which was closed and dismantled now also taking more dogs in, and the situation in remote Kanchanaburi remains grave despite new shelters and medication getting there. A SAFE PLACE FOR "ALDO"... Poor old "Aldo" was found roaming the streets in Rawai, Phuket. He's an old boy - around 9 years of age & he's had a tough life. He's got barely any hair & is just skin & bone.
