This is Thong Phoom, one of the forgotten 100 dogs at Thong Pha Phum shelter, rescued from dog meat traders. These 100 are the only dogs that remain alive of the nearly 2,000 rescued from a smuggler’s holding center near Baan Thareua in January of this year and sent originally to the Buriram livestock facility initially.

REMEMBER I-YA AND PAMMI? TODAYS HAPPY ENDING!
Many Soi Dog supporters will remember the sad stories of Pammi and I-Ya who came to Soi Dog earlier this year under totally different circumstances though both typically tragic. I-Ya was one of two puppies severely attacked on Mai Khao beach close to the JW Marriott hotel. Fortunately a visitor there saw them and notified Soi Dog. SWEET SLOE.... This lovely girl has been at the Soi Dog shelter for so long, no-one can remember how she came to be here. All we know is that sloe's been here since she was a few months old.
Many of our dogs are just like Sloe & have lived almost their entire life at the shelter. MEG, BARBARA & TARA MEET OUR RESIDENT CAT.... A common question we are asked by potential adopters is if our dogs get on with cats. Whilst it's not possible for us to know this for sure, we can sometimes introduce the dog to our resident cat whilst on a leash. As you can see these 3 candidates were less than interested!

Their adoption together is now confirmed so they'll soon be headed to the UK to their new home. Not just one happy Soi Dog, but two!
