From our agent in N. Thailand. The trader (driver) is a local resident of Petchaboon province and from the interview, we found that the driver will trade the dogs within Petchaboon area thereafter another dealer will come to buy the dogs from him, then transfer these dogs to Kosumpisai district which thereafter will move to the hidden shelter in the wood in Mahasarakram and once they have a good number to ship, they will ship the dogs over to Laos. Faust has lived at the Soi Dog shelter for almost 6 years. She came to us when just one year old after having lived with a monk. The monk sadly died & Faust was left on her own & could not survive on the streets by herself.
Faust is a placid, retiring soul who really enjoys being patted. She keeps a low profile in her run, as she sometimes gets picked on by the more dominant dogs. We feel she would make a wonderful, loyal companion for someone who would like ...

DEAR LITTLE COLLIE...
Collie was dumped by his previous owners at the roadside when he was just a year old. He's been at the Soi Dog shelter for 2 years now & has medical issues which we think may have been caused by distemper as a young pup. Collie is very quiet, solitary dog who's happy in his own company, but lately he's become very fond of cuddles & attention from volunteers. Here's Collie having one of his cuddles a few days ago...

Do you remember Ta-Phet Marla, the blind dog I rescued from the schoolyard in Bang Na? I went to visit Ta-Phet Marla, the blind dog again. She is on the healthy recovery. Her skin is getting better, no more itching and she is having some new furs. Her blood value improved and she is overall healthier.
She looks very happy, even she is blind. She is now 2 months in the clinic. She will need hernia operation...

GAMMY ADOPTED TODAY!... Puppy Gammy was adopted from the Soi Dog shelter today & is now comfy in her new home. She was found when just a few weeks old & raised by volunteers & shelter staff. Good luck Gammy!

Six more dogs rescued from the dog meat trade depart from Phuket en route to UK with flight volunteers Niz and Marja. Tweedle Dee was originally from the very first interception 15 months ago and one of several dogs SDF took to Phuket that would have otherwise died. Dog Meat Smuggler Arrested! 12 dogs were recovered on the afternoon of November 20th from a smuggler apprehended by local police in the Mahasarakram Province, Khosumpisai District.
A pickup truck was stopped at a check point by local police. The back of the pickup was modified with a carefully concealed storage area hidden under the wooden sheets.
