URGENT NEED FOR HOME IN CALIFORNIA FOR RESCUED SIBERIAN HUSKY IN BANGKOK. These photos are believe it or not of a Siberian Husky now named Snow rescued from a temple in Bangkok by Khun Patarin after being dumped by Snow's owners. Condition is now improved but will need ongoing care. We have a flight volunteer ready and able to take Snow to LA on January 12th. If you can help Snow please contact john@soidog.org

The Magic 1000 club has been established to help feed the dogs rescued from the illegal dog meat trade and currently held in shelters across NE Thailand. It costs in the region of 1,000,000 THB to feed the dogs at all the shelters on a monthly basis so the idea is that we get 1,000 members to donate 1,000 THB (approx. $32) to raise the funds needed to feed all the dogs…

Soi Dog is urgently seeking volunteer veterinarians due to staff shortages. Accommodation will be provided and for those who can stay for an extended period a living allowance will be provided.

Italia had a tragic start to her life at the Vietnam Bear Rescue Centre. Unbeknown to us, she was pregnant when she arrived and soon gave birth to a tiny cub. The 7 lucky puppies are doing really well, gaining weight, have good appetites and are all healthy. Soi Dog’s night nurse has been taking very good care of them which is quite the job as she has to get up every 4 hous to feed them and check on them. Two of them, Trouble and Strife were spotted on the main highway by Gill Dalley on her way to the shelter. Another 11.2 tons of food delivered to the Khemarat Shelter...
Many thanks to those who have joined the Magic 1000 club helping to feed and care for the thousands of dogs rescued from the illegal dog meat trade to Vietnam! Another 11.2 tons of food was delivered this week to Khemarat Shelter where a large number of these dogs are sheltered.

An undercover investigator volunteer of Soi Dog, acting on a tip off identified the location in Phrae where a local butcher operated. The investigator arranged with local authorities to raid the facility where 5 adult dog and 7 puppies were found and rescued.

Many thanks to IFF (International Flavours and Fragrances Inc. – www.iff.com) and in particular operations manager Mr. Komkrit Kositkool.
Mr. Komkrit Kositkool has donated 20,000 cans of Tuna which cost 597,385 Baht towards feeding dogs rescued from the dog meat trade. The first 1,066 cans have been taken to Thongpapoom Shelter by Mr. Manop the shelter manager.
