Smuggled Dogs Rescued 02-2013

An update on the dogs rescued early Friday morning… The dogs were found in very poor condition and they have been moved to a local livestock center where they can be cared for.
The BLACK truck belongs to Soi Dog Bangkok and the silver truck was confiscated from the dog trader. Our agent has been working for several days on the trail of the dog trader. Funding these interceptions is expensive as is caring for the rescued dogs. Soi Dog is presently spending in the vicinity of 1,000,000 Thai Ba...

11,320 Kg Food Delivered For Rescued Dogs...

Thanks to members of the Magic 1000 Club another 11,320 kg. of dry food has been delivered for the dogs rescued from the illegal dog meat trade. The food has been delivered to Khemmarat Livestock Shelter on 7 Feb.
Many thanks to the members of the Magic 1000 club for helping these dogs. There are presently 190 members of the club and around 1000 are needed to cover the cost of the food each month which is approx. $33,000!

BREAKING NEWS...
After a very long stakeout, early yesterday morning a dog smuggler was apprehended and arrested by the Royal Thai Police after a tip off from an undercover investigator funded by Soi Dog. The smuggler was attempting to transport 50 dogs across the Mekong through Laos to Vietnam.
Note the dog looking on (who was resident at the checkpoint but not one of the 50 rescued).
