SEA LION IS THE WINNER!!!!!
THANK YOU to everyone who voted for "Sea Lion a Soi Dog" for the Humane Society Pageant in the US.
Sea Lion WON 2 categories - the Best Personality and Most Photogenic.
The most important thing that happened is Sea Lion won $2000 from the Humane Society to go towards Spay and Neuter programs.

My name is Jaynee. I've been living on the streets of Phuket for 9 years. A few months ago I started to feel sick & my hair started to fall out. Meet A Little Street Dog Called "McPuff".

MC PUFF - A PHUKET STREET DOG ON HIS WAY TO DETROIT USA!
This cute little guy will soon be on his way to Detroit, USA. He came to she shelter several months ago with a terrible matted coat, fleas & skin problems. He's probably been owned in the past & dumped, as we found him near the Phuket airport.

Remember little Bo? She was crushed in one of the cages on her way to the Dog Meat Trade & has had a leg removed. She has tested positive for Distemper & we are currently treating her & hoping she makes a full recovery. She & her companions (Phanom & Nakhon) will shortly be coming to Phuket for adoption. Khemmerat Food Delivery 03-April-2013

Many thanks to members of the Magic 1,000 club! An additional 384 bags of food have been delivered to the Khemmerrat shelter where dogs rescued from the dog meat trade are sheltered.
There are currently around 250 monthly contributors to the Magic 1,000. Around another 750 are required to cover the staggering cost of feeding the dogs each month!

Murphy!

Murphy’s Story…
Poor Murphy at only 2 years old came to the shelter as unable to fend for himself on the streets. Murphy was suffering from a severely compromised immune system and virtually hairless from mange. Murphy when found was a walking skeleton, virtually hairless and covered in open wounds.
If Murphy had not been rescued he would undoubtedly have died a slow and painful death alone. Murphy had obviously given up hope and when found was lying in a street gutter. At first our animal...

Twister is 9 years old & was found on the streets of Phuket with a severely deformed left hind leg. This old injury is probably due to a road accident years prior. The leg is not causing Twister any pain & now he's living at our shelter, we can closely monitor his progress.
