Playtime With "Rowdy"

A few months ago "Rowdy" was dumped in front of the Soi Dog Shelter with some other puppies. Obviously unwanted, we took them in and made sure that they were safe and well. Rowdy who is 8 months old really shouldn't be at the shelter as she is so loving and energetic. We would really like to find her a loving home before she gets too used to shelter life.

Murphy!

Murphy’s Story…
Poor Murphy at only 2 years old came to the shelter as unable to fend for himself on the streets. Murphy was suffering from a severely compromised immune system and virtually hairless from mange. Murphy when found was a walking skeleton, virtually hairless and covered in open wounds.
If Murphy had not been rescued he would undoubtedly have died a slow and painful death alone. Murphy had obviously given up hope and when found was lying in a street gutter. At first our animal...

Yong is more than 12 years of age and one of the oldest dogs at the shelter. She was found at Nai Harn beach in 2010 wandering around dis-orientated, suffering fungal infection & severely malnourished. We also soon discovered she is almost totally blind.

An Up Date On "Mr Hat"...

MR HAT & HIS HAT BOX!... Remember a little 3 legged dog called "Mr Hat"? A few months ago he was a miserable little boy, sitting in a hole in our puppy run feeling very sorry for himself. He had fungal skin problems & he itched & hurt all over.
The man who originally brought Mr Hat to Soi Dog (also called Mr Hat) decided to adopt Mr Hat. Mr Hat (the dog) just landed in Frankfurt, Germany & the happy pair are on their way home! Confused????

A "Tripod" Called "Manic"...

MANIC - OUR LITTLE CUTIE!... Manic arrived at the shelter with a very bad leg wound & amputation was needed. It's just 4 weeks since her operation & now she's up & walking! She's a tiny girl & as cute as a button! She's too small to be in a shelter, she needs a soft bed & a place to call home.

LITTLE MISS BOOBER.... This friendly little girl arrived after being hit by a car. She has 2 dicky legs & walks with a distinctive hop. She adores people & loves to play. She's bright, happy & an absolute delight!... Boober is 9 months old & we'd love to find her a forever home & a future to look forward to.

Burriram Shelter Emergency...

Building commences on the first of the Emergency Shelter Facilities for rescued dogs at the Burriram Shelter.
Many thanks to all of those who have donated towards the emergency appeal for providing emergency shelter to dogs rescued from the dog meat trade. It is because of YOU that this much needed work has started.
And also thank you members of the Magic 1000 Club for providing food for the rescued dogs!

SAM OUR ADORABLE LAB - FINALLY ON HIS WAY HOME!
It was Sam's lucky day today!! Sally & her husband Andy (expats living in Rawai, Phuket) decided to give dear old Sam the home of his dreams! Sam will live right next to the beach & has 2 other dogs for company. He'll get a soft couch to lay on (all day long if he wants) as well as a run along the beach every morning with his new family.
