Meet A Boy Called "Fran"...

A BOY CALLED FRAN...
Fran lost his eye in a road accident & now lives at the Soi Dog Shelter here in Phuket. Fran is a chilled out little guy with a very sweet, calm disposition. He loves attention from people & really enjoys his time with volunteers. He loves affection & would make a great companion. Purpose Built Sterilization Suite...

Work has started on the construction of the sterilization suite at Soi Dog's shelter. Many thanks to local volunteers for lending their time and expertise to this important project!
With the number of sterilizations performed on Phuket at around 10,000 per year it has become essential to build a clinic dedicated solely to sterilization.

"CESAR".....SHE CERTAINLY STANDS OUT FROM THE CROWD....!!!

We would like to introduce you to the amazing "Cesar". As you can see, she certainly is a stunning looking dog that "stands out from the crowd". She came to the shelter after the floods in Bangkok, and has settled in well but life in the runs is taking it's toll. She would be ideally suited as an only dog, with someone who can offer her the love and attention that she needs. She loves her walks with the volunteers, and you can see here how soft and gentle she is with people.

Jumper's records say - Age 6 years, Time on Shelter 5 years & 9 months. Yes, Jumper's been here at the Soi Dog shelter her entire life. She's watched many of her friends leave & get adopted to countries far away, but that's never happened to poor Jumper. She's still living in the A3 Run, the only home she's ever known.

Hi, I'm Desperado and I live at The Soi Dog Shelter in Phuket. I have been here for 4 1/2 years and I am really hoping it's my time to find a loving home. When I arrived I had a bad wound on my back, which thanks to the great Vets here has now healed. It did leave a scar which I think gives me character. N & P Off To Forever Homes....

Nakhon & Phanom - rescued from the illegal do meat trade arrive in Phuket en route to new loving homes.
Nakhon & Phanom were victims of the illegal dog meat trade Rescued from smugglers they had both lost limbs due to the limbs being crushed between cages on the smugglers truck (a common and unfortunate occurrence).
Neither would have survived for long in the government shelters but fortunately both have found loving homes overseas.

Murphy!

Poor Murphy at only 2 years old came to the shelter as unable to fend for himself on the streets. Murphy was suffering from a severely compromised immune system and virtually hairless from mange. Murphy when found was a walking skeleton, virtually hairless and covered in open wounds.

A "Tripod" Called "Manic"...

MANIC - OUR LITTLE CUTIE!... Manic arrived at the shelter with a very bad leg wound & amputation was needed. It's just 4 weeks since her operation & now she's up & walking! She's a tiny girl & as cute as a button! She's too small to be in a shelter, she needs a soft bed & a place to call home.

Playtime With "Rowdy"

A few months ago "Rowdy" was dumped in front of the Soi Dog Shelter with some other puppies. Obviously unwanted, we took them in and made sure that they were safe and well. Rowdy who is 8 months old really shouldn't be at the shelter as she is so loving and energetic. We would really like to find her a loving home before she gets too used to shelter life.
