Vaccines Arrive Nakhon Phanom Shelter 05-2013

Many thanks to members of the Magic 1000 Club in aid of dogs rescued from the illegal dog meat trade for the delivery of 2,500 vaccines to the Nakhon Phanom shelter were rescued dogs are located. The vaccines cost approx. 250,000 baht and could not have been purchased without your support!
With both healthy and disease infected dogs being kept in a high density population environment it is critical to vaccinate them as soon as possible to minimise the chance of disease epidemics.

NATTY FINDS HIS FOREVER HOME WITH MARK & DIANA!
We are delighted to announce that Our gorgeous pitbull Natty has at last found his forever home with full time Soi Dog Volunteers Mark & Diana! .
Natty is pictured with his new family - including his new siblings Happy & Mellow. Mark & Diana tell us that Natty is settling in well, loving his runs on the beach & enjoying lots of attention as a cherished family member.

A KIND SUPPORTER IS OFFERING FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR THE RIGHT HOME! This lovely cat was hit by a car & rescued by a kind lady who despite being allergic to cats, nursed him partially back to health & then brought him to Soi Dog. Anchovy is FIV positive, which means he cannot live with other cats (unless they are also FIV positive). Anchovy is otherwise healthy & may have a good, long life ahead of him. He needs to be an indoor cat though so he's not exposed to other cats.

PRETTY LITTLE POLAN...

This little girl was found dumped in a rubber plantation & was eating the rubber off the trees trying to survive. She's been at our shelter for almost 9 months & ready to find a new home. Polan is 4 years old, small & dainty. She loves to be cuddled like a baby & enjoys lots of attention!

MC PUFF (NOW MR MONTY) ARRIVES IN DETROIT, USA!
This adorable little guy has just arrived in Detroit & met Amy, his doting new mum. Amy tells us Mr Monty is a sweet, gentle boy & they're getting on famously. He's had his first walk around the neighborhood, a hearty meal & a chew bone. He meets his new little brother & sister tomorrow. Life has changed dramatically for Mr Monty & he sees to be taking it all in his stride!

GG was picked up a few days ago by Khun Nok one of Soi Dog’s Animal Rescue Officers while returning to the shelter from a mobile sterilization clinic on the south of Phuket island. Residents in the area where GG had been found told Nok that GG’s owner’s had set GG on the streets due to “his blindness”. They no longer wanted him and GG now had no home. Funny (as her friends call her) has been at the Soi Dog shelter for 4 of her 6 years. Funny is a sweet, loving girl. She's full of confidence, loves people, enjoys going for walks & loves lots of affection.

LOUIS IS LOVING VANCOVER!... Just 24 hours ago the lovely Louis landed in Vancouver & met her new family - Ruth, Kevin & their 3 boys. Ruth tells us "Louis is amazing!.. She comes when you call, & she's learned where I'd like her to pee. She made two playful wagging lunges at our dog Eddie and I swear she looked at me for approval and smiled when she got it! OUR DARLING ROZ...
Roz has very limited sight & we think she probably only see's shadows. She's approx 7 years old & has lived at our shelter for 6 years - almost her entire life.
Roz is an absolute sweetheart & is a very affectionate girl who steals the hearts of many volunteers. Roz would make a wonderful companion for a special person willing to deal with her very limited vision.

"CESAR".....SHE CERTAINLY STANDS OUT FROM THE CROWD....!!!

We would like to introduce you to the amazing "Cesar". As you can see, she certainly is a stunning looking dog that "stands out from the crowd". She came to the shelter after the floods in Bangkok, and has settled in well but life in the runs is taking it's toll. She would be ideally suited as an only dog, with someone who can offer her the love and attention that she needs. She loves her walks with the volunteers, and you can see here how soft and gentle she is with people.
