Murphy’s Story…
Poor Murphy at only 2 years old came to the shelter as unable to fend for himself on the streets. Murphy was suffering from a severely compromised immune system and virtually hairless from mange. Murphy when found was a walking skeleton, virtually hairless and covered in open wounds.

Dooby arrived at the shelter in a terrible state, poor love. He had a dreadful fungal infection all over his hairless body & weeping sores. Just look at his sad face, he's been wandering the streets for many months in terrible pain & discomfort. Yet another example of the importance of Soi Dog's sponsorship program.

A quick update for Soi Dog supporters following the story of dogs rescued from the illegal dog meat trade...
Trucks have left the overcrowded Nakhon Phanom shelter with several hundred dogs being transferred to the new purpose built shelters at Burriram financed by Soi Dog supporters.
Many thanks to all who have donated towards building the first of the Burriram shelters. An additional 7 are planned to be built (pending funding) each able to house 500 dogs.

Collie Needs A Home IN Thailand...
Collie is a very special boy who has lived at our shelter most of his life, after his owners dumped him in the road 2 years ago. Collie suffers from epilepsy which is controlled by medication. TIM TAM NEEDS A RETIREMENT HOME

Please help us make Tim Tam smile again. Tim Tam arrived at the shelter 3 years ago with an horrific ear wound. We didn't think Tim Tam would survive, but she pulled though & has lived at our shelter ever since. About a year ago, Tim Tam started to display signs of renal failure & became emaciated & very ill. We treated her condition & she's now put on weight & appears fairly bright & her condition is stable for the time being. What we'd really like is to find Tim Tam a special home for the rem...

All the cat vaccines and surgical materials arrived safely at Nakhon Phanom today for the 92 cats intercepted at the border destined for Vietnam. All the male cats were sterilized today and the females will start tomorrow. We are hopeful that all the cats will be adopted through our friends in Bangkok. sadly of the exactly 100 dogs on the pick up truck intercepted last night 35 were already dead. 65 survivors have joined the 88 survivors from the interception the previous night. 6 dogs on that truck were already dead.
hard to imagine 100 dogs on a standard pick up truck.

Breaking news more dog nappers nabbed!
Yesterday a second arrest (2 that day) was made totaling over 180 dogs rescued from the 2 arrests!
Congratulations to Animal Activist Alliance Thailand's undercover agents for identifying the dog nappers and their coordination with the Royal Thai Police in facilitating the arrests!

Early this morning 94 more dogs were rescued from smugglers in Sakhon Nakhon (NE Thailand). The dogs nave been taken initially to the rescue shelter in Nakhon Phanom to the NE.
