Flag arrived at our shelter in 2010 as a tiny puppy after being dumped on the side of the road with her sisters - Fluffy & Fleck. Kalasin Sterilization Project Day 3...

Some more photos of the Kalasin Province Sterilization program which is hoped to see the sterilization of over 4,000 dogs in the province. In partnership with Soi Dog the Department of Livestock plans to expand this program to other provinces where the dog meat trade proliferates in conjunction with public awareness and education programs.
Sterilization (spay/neuter) is the ONLY effective and humane way of addressing the root cause of street animal suffering this being over population.

THE DOOBSTER IS UP FOR ADOPTON!
Dooby is a real character, he came to Soi Dog 2 years ago after having lived on the streets his whole life. He was covered in sores & fungal skin problems. His face said it all - he was one of the saddest dogs we'd ever seen.
Today Dooby is a totally different dog! He's exuberant, happy & LOVES people. Dooby always makes us laugh with his funny antics. He seems especially fond of men & would make a great buddy.
Dooby is adoptable to US, Canada, Europe or the UK....

BOOBER, DESPERATE FOR AFFECTION!..
This little girl is super affectionate & would love a new home. She is a road accident victim & has 2 dicky legs, but that doesnt' stop Boober. She hops around & LOVES to go for walks with volunteers. She's sweet, friendly & totally loveable.

Cat Condo For Cats Rescued From The Meat Trade...

Many thanks to Dog Nation (Bangkok) for donating the “cat condo” for helping house the 90+ cats recently rescued from the meat trade and taken to the rescue shelter at Nakhom Phanom.
The cat condo has been erected at Soi Dog’s Bangkok clinic with a number of cats already enjoying the condo. 6 cats have been adopted/fostered and more cats from the rescue shelter at Nakhon Phanom are on their way.

DUMPED POODLE PAIR DESPERATE FOR NEW HOME...

Tuntikorn & Penpaka were dumped 4 months ago in a busy road. The two poodles are inseperable & the sweetest pair. They are both super friendly & desperate for affection. Cuddles are high on their priority list & they would make ideal pets.
The male/female pair are approx 3 years old. They are currently at the Soi Dog Shelter in Phuket Thailand & adoptable to USA, Canada, Europe, UK or locally.

Murphy!

Murphy’s Story…
Poor Murphy at only 2 years old came to the shelter as unable to fend for himself on the streets. Murphy was suffering from a severely compromised immune system and virtually hairless from mange. Murphy when found was a walking skeleton, virtually hairless and covered in open wounds.

Dooby arrived at the shelter in a terrible state, poor love. He had a dreadful fungal infection all over his hairless body & weeping sores. Just look at his sad face, he's been wandering the streets for many months in terrible pain & discomfort. Yet another example of the importance of Soi Dog's sponsorship program.

A quick update for Soi Dog supporters following the story of dogs rescued from the illegal dog meat trade...
Trucks have left the overcrowded Nakhon Phanom shelter with several hundred dogs being transferred to the new purpose built shelters at Burriram financed by Soi Dog supporters.
Many thanks to all who have donated towards building the first of the Burriram shelters. An additional 7 are planned to be built (pending funding) each able to house 500 dogs.

Collie Needs A Home IN Thailand...
Collie is a very special boy who has lived at our shelter most of his life, after his owners dumped him in the road 2 years ago. Collie suffers from epilepsy which is controlled by medication.
