13,471 dogs and cats were sterilised last month, which is a 14% increase compared to January 2021. π₯³

My name is Doris, and I was taken from my mother at only 8 weeks old π₯π. I was too young to remember much, but the trauma of that early separation and abandonment still haunts me to this day π₯ The person who took me away dumped me in the garden of a Soi Dog volunteer. That was a lucky shot, as I was then brought to the shelter where they have been taking great care of me ever since. ππΆπΎ

I am Paloka, and I would like to tell you my sad, sad story. I was extremely terrified and timid when I arrived at Soi Dog in 2018. My heart was beating so fast I had to be sedated so the vets could examine me π±π± Turns out I had a severe ear infection, and one of my legs was badly injured. I couldnβt walk, and I screamed when the vets tried to touch it. How this happened is a secret that only I know. And I carry this trauma with me every day.

Heroes do not always wear capes. Yesso, Jaomeeyai and the other 177 disabled animals under our care are the very proof of that! All these homeless animals arrived at our shelter after suffering acts of cruelty or abuse, but they never lost the will to live.
