Magic 1000 Club Food Delivery To Nakhon Phanom...
Many thanks to the Magic 1000 Club for delivering approximately $11,000 of food to the Nakhon Phanom shelter for dogs rescued from the illegal dog meat trade!
It costs around $46,000 each month to feed the over 4000 rescued dogs and to provide them sufficient shelters. More members of the Magic 1000 club are urgently needed to help give these dogs the care they deserve.

An important meeting was recently held in Hanoi with representatives of various SE Asian governments and the Asian Canine Protect Alliance (consisting of Soi Dog, Change For Animals Foundation Animals Asia and the Humane Society International).
The meeting focused on further steps to eliminate the illegal dog meat trade, curb the population of strays and eliminate rabies from the region.

Here is Mr. John W. Johnson who works as a medical contractor. He worked for both the United States Dept of Defense and the Dept of State. He is currently based in Baghdad at the Baghdad Diplomatic Support Hospital.

Tim Tam arrived at the shelter 3 years ago with an horrific ear wound. We didn't think Tim Tam would survive, but she pulled though & has lived at our shelter ever since. About a year ago, Tim Tam started to display signs of renal failure & became emaciated & very ill. We treated her condition & she's now put on weight & appears fairly bright & her condition is stable for the time being. However, Tim Tam's condition is not curable & we don't know how much...

Collie is a very special boy who has lived at our shelter most of his life, after his owners dumped him in the road 2 years ago. Collie suffers from epilepsy which is controlled by medication. On Saturday 31st August, an afternoon tea was held so Soi Dog Supporters could meet Sea Lion, a victim on the Dog Meat Trade. Supporters heard a message from John Dalley and Ellie Harris, Sea Lion's adopter gave a moving speech. Below is a message from Deb Mole, the president of Soi Dog Australia:
