LITTLE PAGODA SEEMS OUT OF PLACE….

We would love to find a loving home for our little Pagoda.
He is just over 3 years old, and is an adorable little guy. He gets so excited when he sees the volunteers, and rushes over to get his kisses and cuddles. Sometimes he seems to be a little bit out of place in his run, so we would desperately like to find him that loving home where he can feel safe and loved.

Last weekend Soi Dog Foundation celebrated it's 10 year anniversary with a fundraiser at Andara Resort and Villas, organised by volunteer Cristy Baker. The theme was "Roaring Twenties" and the costumes were magnificent and 800,000 baht was raised towards the upcoming construction of a new hospital. Many thanks to volunteers from Dog’s Nation, Stop Dog Meat Trade, SOS Animals Thailand and the Thai Bang Kaew Club who accompanied Soi Dog personnel to Prajinburi province Northeast of Bangkok to help with flood relief for animals effected by the flooding.
The volunteers brought and distributed dog and cat food to the areas most effected by the flooding feeding both owned and stray animals.

MEET "PIRATE" THE POODLE….

Pirate arrived at our shelter in a sorry state. He was living near a school and someone had shot at his eye with an elastic band. His eye was very badly damaged and covered in maggots so had to be removed.
He has recovered well, but does not seem to get on well with the other dogs in his run, and would ideally suit a home where he can be the only dog.
Pirate has had such a bad start in life that we would love to find a home for this loving and affectionate little guy.

Wuffit Leaves For Denmark…….

“Wuffit” came to the shelter just over a year ago after she had been hit by a car and required amputation of her left back leg. It is always a joyous occasion at the shelter when an animal leaves to go to their new home and many of the staff members came to say goodbye including Khun Pew and Khun Dao who have looked after Wuffit for the last year. We wish Wuffit and her new family all the happiness in the world.

Soi Dog Supporters In France Find A New Way To Raise Funds!

A group of soidog supporters held three events over three months this summer in SW France.
At the first event a ‘Swishing party’ people donated their clothes and items which were sold and exchanged for Euro’s! All Euro 220 of them! Tea and cucumber sandwiches were enjoyed.
The second event was a luncheon where again items were sold and a wonderful cake made by Michelle (on the left) I hope you agree looked perfect! A raffle too helped with the success of the day.

Today, children from the Gecko School in Talang came to visit the Soi Dog shelter with their teachers Hugh and Sally. The students were given a tour of the shelter and they learnt the importance of being kind to animals and the value of sterilising cats and dogs.
