Cute Little “Kapi” Is Looking For A Loving Home

Our sweet little Kapi has been with us for nearly half her life….She was just 6 months old when she came to us having been involved in a road accident.
She got some much needed treatment from our vets, and has since made a full recovery. We have watched her grow into a fun loving and sometimes cheeky little dog, who loves attention and going for walks around the lake.
She has made many friends, but what she really needs is that extra special friend who will take her into their heart & home.

Environment Films, the production company that is finishing the new Soi Dog film, "Shadow Trade" enjoyed filming with Ricky Gervais, Penelope Wilton and Peter Egan a viral campaign that aims to help end the illegal dog meat trade in Thailand. Also we'll filming with Judi Dench and Joanna Lumley in January.

Humphrey Is Off To Pastures New

Today we said Bon Voyage to one of our most popular and well know residents. Humphrey left for the airport this morning on his way to a wonderful new home in the USA.
Humphrey has been with us for 3 1/2 years, so the good byes were tearful, but we all know what an amazing opportunity this is for him.
We wish him well in his new home, and hope that his life is filled with all the wonderful new experiences that are sure to come.

360 DOGS RESCUED FROM DOG MEAT TRADE ARRIVE AT NEW HOME

Thursday Day Two. BURIRAM. Volunteers continued right up to the last minute finishing and cleaning the latest new shelter. In readiness for the imminent arrival of 360 dogs from the Khemmarat livestock shelter. As can be seen was not the end of the operation as the dogs were introduced to their new home and a grooming salon was set up. Rescued in the nick of time.........
"Afro" belonged to an Austrian man who decided to leave the island. Instead of trying to rehome Afro he decided to get a gun to shoot him. Thankfully a Thai neighbour persuaded him not to and brought him to Soi Dog. This story does have a happy ending though, as a home may already have been found for Afro!

LATEST SHELTER COMPLETED AT BURIRM

A team of volunteers organised by SDF's Khun Jeab arrived at Buriram Wednesday to clean up the latest shelter, as workers hurry to complete final welding in preparation for an expected 500 dogs rescued from the dog meat trade, due to arrive Thursday. Of course the volunteers took time out to spend time with the nearly 1,000 dogs already living here.

Our Frank Is On The Up….

Frank was living on the streets as a young puppy near Phuket Town when we got a call from a concerned person who had seen a dog looking very sad and depressed, and was being kicked and hit by a group of people.
Our dog catcher went out and rescued him, and brought him back to us so that he would now be safe from harm and well looked after.
