Sun Bright Would Dearly Love A Home

This handsome boy has been with us at the Shelter for the last 18 months after he was dumped at a local clinic when he just a pup of 4 months old.
He is nearly 2 years old now and is full of life, love and energy, and his favourite pastime is going for walks with the volunteers. He has plenty of friends in his run, but this lovely boy really loves human company, and this is why we are so keen to find him a loving home.

It was another early start again today for the staff and for 2 more lucky dogs who are heading off to wonderful new lives together in the USA with their new Mum Leslie.
It was a Black & White theme as Lilain and Surin Rock said their goodbyes to their friends, staff and carers before heading to the airport with Mark & Chris.

Many thanks to the team in Australia who attended the World Vegan Day event in Melbourne yesterday. As well as spreading awareness about Soi Dog Foundation and the illegal dog meat trade, they raised over $1500 which all goes towards helping the dogs and cats of Thailand. This week, Soi Dog Foundation welcomed some special guests to our facilities, a team from Greater Good (www.greatergood.org). After arriving in Bangkok, their first trip was to Buriram to visit the dogs rescued from the dog meat trade. Greater Good fundraise for these dogs and have funded two shelters at Buriram, each having the capacity to hold up to 500 dogs. Next stop was the shelter in Phuket where the members of the team met with the six dogs who were to accompany them back to the US to be ...

Komarn is such a super sweet and gentle 2 ½ year old girl who is looking to find her place in a loving home.
She arrived at our shelter when she was just a 1 month old pup after a kind lady had found her and suspected she had been hit by a car and took her to a local vet for treatment.
We took her in to our care where she got the medical treatment she needed and she has made a good recovery.

Fancy Finally Finds Her Place

Another bittersweet moment today as Soi Dog Foundation staff & volunteers say their fond farewells to one of our long term residents Fancy.
She has been with us for nearly 6 years and we are delighted that she has finally found her place with Amanda in the USA!
A sweet loving gentle girl, who has captured many hearts in her time with us. She will be greatly missed, but we could not be happier that she has found a loving home at last.
It goes to show that good things do come to those who wait....

Big Day At Soi Dog

Today was another big day at the Soi Dog Shelter in Phuket.
It was a big day for emotions and happiness. We said goodbye to 6 of our amazing dogs who are heading on their journey first to Bangkok and then on to the USA and Canada.
There were tears in the eyes of all the staff and carers, as Fluffy, Silley, Lost, Flora, George and Soi Dog Legend Dooby left for wonderful new homes with fantastic new families.
