It was evident that Silley had not eating for a long time as he was underweight and suffering from malnutrition when he arrived. FURTHER MESSAGE FROM HERO 11th Dec 2013, by Soi Dog Foundation

Hi everybody,
I am now in a much bigger kennel and can walk around which is nice but a bit boring as I am not allowed out. I also growl at people who come near me as don’t want to go back to where I was before, but actually when you get to know them they are very nice people not like the people I met before. One called Gill brought me some c...

IT NEVER ENDS! 10th Dec 2013, by Soi Dog Foundation
IT NEVER ENDS!
No sooner had the new Brigitte Bardot sterilization clinic opened than another poor dog arrived at the shelter so of course we have named her Brigitte. If she survives she will no doubt be as beautiful as the wonderful lady she is named after. Brigitte was picked up in Rawai in the south of the island following a number of reports. She has severe demodex and blood parasites and her body is covered in dried blood from no doubt the incessant scratching of her poor emaciated body. At...

Roz Is Off To Pastures New 10th Dec 2013, by Soi Dog Foundation
It was another emotional day at the shelter when we said farewell to long term resident Roz.
She is nearly blind and has been for some years, but this has never held her back, and she is one of the most loving, gentle and affectionate dogs.
She is heading off to a new life in the UK where she is joining an amazing family who are hoping to get her eyes examined to see if there is anything that can be done.
Always a spring in her step, and a loving nudge to let you know she is there, all the st...

TEARS AS CRISTY SAYS GOODBYE…
5:00 AM at Thailand’s Phuket Airport, same characters but a bit different situation. In the first photo Cristy clung to Gill in fear when she arrived at Soi Dog, very near death. For weeks we did not know if she would survive.
Today Gill bid a bittersweet farewell to Cristy as saw her off at the start of her journey to the UK with flight volunteers Brian and Michelle and 5 other lucky dogs.
She is on her way to Donna and Lynda and of course new mate Murren. W...

You Can Sponsor Taa Reua today…
This is Taa Reua, just one of the hundreds of dogs rescued by Soi Dog Foundation. Found with a rope around her neck that was left on 24 hours per day, so tight it buried into her skin causing a two inch wide deep wound that was filled with maggots. The second photo is Taa Reua today.
Taa Reua will always have a permanent scar around her neck but the emotional wounds are now healing and she is learning to trust again. Taa Reua could never go back to her ...

Delightful Deeya Is Looking For A Loving Home 8th Dec 2013, by Soi Dog Foundation
Deeya came to us at the age of 3 months old, and she is now very nearly 1yr, and we would dearly love to find her a home.
She was found by a volunteer after some people had threatened to kill her and her siblings, and they were brought to us to ensure their survival.
She is such a warm and affectionate little dog who tends to locate herself at the back of her run as the more boisterous dogs are too much for her. She loves to get attention and go for walks, though is never very keen to return t...
