4 MONTH OLD HOLLY(KAKA) SAYS THANK YOU.
Thank you to everybody who sent me good wishes. This was me 2 weeks ago and I was very frightened. My bruises have all gone and I love playing with the other little dogs in my kennel as you can see in one of the other photos. Everybody here is just grrrrrrreat! Though I can’t wait to be allowed out to play with the other puppies. Dr. Su says it won’t be long but I have to have all my injections first. I don’t like them much. I don’t know why those...

Soi Dog board member Clive was on his way to get some last minute Christmas shopping when he spotted a dog laid under a road sign at Ban Don. He went to check on the dog and found him unable to walk properly and with a very tight collar and a chain hanging from it.
He immediately called Gill who interrupted her own Christmas cookery preparations to go and meet Khun Thep and find the dog. The dog was very skeletal and hardly able to stand. We do not know where he came from but had clearly been ch...

Struggling All Alone With A Broken Leg.......

Poor little London was found in the middle of the road by good Samaritans and bought to Soi Dog Foundation. He is thought to be approximately 4 months old and appears to be in good health, however upon examination by Dr Eed, London was found to have a broken front leg. We are unsure of how his leg came to be broken, but we do know life on the street would have been a struggle for him with his mobility affected. Nanachat lived on the streets of Phuket all his life until Soi Dog found him struggling and gave him a permanent home at the shelter. He was not eating well and his hair was also starting to fall out especially around his backside. Dr Su says his hair is unlikely to grow back. At the shelter he has friends to play with, regular meals and vets to keep him healthy.

ADOPTING A DOG FROM SOI DOG FOUNDATION
In a number of recent posts enquiries have been made whether it is possible to adopt one or the other of our dogs such as Hero above. It is very difficult to adopt dogs and cats locally here owing to the transient nature of most of the people who work and live in Phuket especially.

REMEMBER ANNIVERSARY AND CELEBRATION?

Little Anniversary was thrown out of a car along with Sister Celebration in October on the 10th anniversary of SDF.
This picture was taken on the way to the shelter. John found Anniversary on the road and we later heard from Dr. Su who lives close by to where they were found that her husband was told 2 puppies had been thrown out of a car.

Neo, from the Pattaya Animal Coalition (PAC) will be participating in the “Thailand Run 999 km in 30 Days” from the 17th January until the 19th March, 2014. This run will commence in northern Thailand and finish in Pattaya.
